The animation may be subpar, but I was attracted by something else
I choked, really I did. Kure-nai, the series that has earned so many praises from me (and a lot of other bloggers) for its spectacular development and plot has completely done something out of the ordinary. This week’s episode poses no development (and more or less no plot), yet, it has got to be one of the funniest episodes I have seen this season. The theme for this week? Musical HOME DRAMA!
Yes, this was literally “text-book” in the way which a DRAMA should be done. I was absolutely laughing my a$$ off purely because this was such an entertaining and original idea. There is rarely anything left nowadays that is original, but this episode was completely “one of a kind”.
Okay, voice check:
“Tamaki…”
“Fine”
“Murasaki…”

The basic outline of the episode is pretty simple; a few directors come to the flat and request Shinkurou and the girls to act (and sing for a “play”). Unfortunately, Yamie proves to be tone death in the most hilarious of ways, and guess who was boasting about being a good singer?
“Yamie…”
“…”
“mueh shaukk!”
(Murasaki is telling her that she sucks).
Poor cat
Shinkurou tires to tutor Yamie but gives up in the end and asks Yuuno for help instead…who turns out to be worse (in more ways than one, mentioned below).
Ready?
I soo wish that you could hear her voice at this moment…
Yes…we are screwed…
“You suck!!!”
And guess why she wanted to join in even though she sucks?
That’s right, she wanted the role of the cheating partner
Yamie finds Yayoi by herself (at last) and it turns out that Yayoi is a karaoke queen! (Now what are the chances of that?).
YES! Yayoi is saved from the cold!
But now her ears bleed!
Without further ado though, I bring you the main crack part of this episode, the coming together of the entire play. Romance DRAMA Kurenai style!
(In a singing voice)
“Oh how I love youuuu my dearrr~”
“What is this you fiend!?”
“Oh noes~we has been discovered~”
“I don’t believe it my love~”
“How could you do this to my sister~” (”and I thought I was the only oneee~”)
“We hear DRAMA, lets join~~”
(Okey, what the heck happened to her hair O.o).
” I curse you to hell~”
“KYAAAAAAAAA~~~”
Because romance DRAMAS always have a happy end?
Old man: “The plot is all wrong, kthxbye”
“Oh shi…”
“Sorry guys, it was all harmless fun”
As you can guess, they weren’t amused, well Yuuno was very happy and Murasaki had fun at least.
But the play goes on…
Is it still too late to feel sorry for Shinkurou?
