Suzumiya Haruhi: We Can Rebuild Her, Faster, Stronger, More Bossy Then Ever!

I love it when I mention something in passing only to be proven almost 100% correct.  (He lies) So the new news about the second Suzumiya Haruhi Season 2 (no that’s not a typo) came and went, leaving many in a state of confusion as to just what exactly is going on.  You see, for those who don’t already know, apparently Kadokawa/Kyoani have decided to scrap their first draft for the second season (the one I mentioned way back in July 2007) and to go with an “All new Haruhi” as the Newtype article released apparently puts it. Kure-Nai ~ Episode 10 ~ Unerasable Memories

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Isn’t this just terrible?

Just one word before I start this entry; damn!

Well as far as a predictable plot can be, this episode sure takes the cake (in a good way mind you). I’m sure that ‘most’ of you can see where this episode was heading from the preview but to have watched it believing that it won’t be anything special besides the usual “hero becomes depressed and tries to find his way” plot, this sure was a big surprise for me. By all means that it is still the cliché storyline but the content was absolutely delightful. Continue reading ‘Kure-Nai ~ Episode 10 ~ Unerasable Memories’

G線上の魔王 – G-Senjou no Maou – The Devil on G-String

Recently, we got nice visual novels such like Kamipani! and Chaos;Head, and this month wasn’t an exception either: Ef ~ the latter tale ~ finally got released.
However, today, I will rather present you another eroge, which deserves as much attention as the new release from Minori, if not, even more. G線上の魔王 (G-Senjou no Maou – Devil on G-String), by Akabeisoft2.

Why is that? Basically, this eroge offers a breath of air for those who are willing to adventure themselves in the “dark realm of ero” (okay people, that was a lame gentle pick on those who cannot stand some VN, for sake of containing ero stuff): Detective/thriller with well balanced action, drama and romance.
You dreamt of Death Note in a VN/eroge format? That title is fitting your expectation like a glove, however: with less crappy “KEIKAKU DORII” (or if you prefer: less incredible lame stunts of convenient expectation of either Light or L/Near), True hide-and-seek / cat & mouse games, colorful cast, drama and romance.
Of course, this is a bit exaggerated and in the end, everything will depend of your tastes. That is to say, G senjou offers a very solid and rich plot, that I will introduce to you.

Kaioshin’s Top 10 Anime OST’s

So people have responded quite nicely to my two OST Reviews that I’ve done, and this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while so I thought, why not now.  The way I intend for this to work is to countdown the OST’s (all in article) that I’ve found to be my top 10 favourites and provide a sample via video of one of my favourite songs.  On top of that I’ll give a little detail as to what I like about the OST in particular as well as who composed it and any other details I feel are relevant.  So here goes… Continue reading ‘Kaioshin’s Top 10 Anime OST’s’

Chaos Wars: Nineties Style Video Game Voice Acting Makes A Comeback!

And You Thought We Were Getting Better At This?

Chaos Wars as I understand it is a strategy RPG by Idea Factory (So I bet you are already thinking quality right…..right?!) that has just recently seen western release.  Now it was brought to my attention by a friend of mine that the game features some really bad voice acting.  How bad, well I present to the jury that are the gamers out there the opening bits of the game with the English Vocal Track On.
