Once there was a man who worked very long and very hard at his task.  They said unto him, “Lo, for he worketh hard and we wish him godspeed for he shall do it all the more”.  The man was happy….for a time.  It was not to be however that he should enjoy for all eternity.  And one day the work would consume him and he would know no joy.  The man prepared to give up all so that he might eek out but a little joy and it was hard.  And then came his messiah.  “Talk to me, so that I might lift thy burden for a day”, his messiah said, and the man said, “okay”.  Grateful not to waste this gift the man sought to put it to use.  This is the rest of his story….

Sekirei episode 5 ~ Water master, Tsukiumi…Peeking master, Matsu

Ah Matsu, you somehow never fail to surprise me in the most pleasing way. This was yet another Sekirei-esque episode so your expectations from the pervious episode shouldn’t stray far from this one. Like the title says, this was basically a Matsu and Tsukiumi introduction episode and guess what…Minato is out there to “catch ‘em all” again.

Time To Come Up With Better Excuses To Bash Folks (Turns Out The Code Geass Script Is In Fact Done)

Translation By Koshimizu: Progress report by the story originator and main writer, Ichirō Ōkouchi.  I’ve finished the script for Code Geass! Finished!  It’s not “to be continued”, nor “end of this season”. It’s over, finished, the end.  Starting from the planning of this anime, it’s been 5 full years. Although I’ve been having plenty of jobs, this has been the longest one for me.  My computer fell silent when I was writing the last episode. I had to try to recover it while making the final check on the last episode. It’s quite a handfull.
But the work in studio isn’t done yet. And my job isn’t completely finished either.  Laughter or tears, the ending is only 4 months away. As for the production staff, who will see the ending in a few weeks, I wish for them to join me in the joy of seeing the end of Code Geass soon.

Scoopu scoopu! ~ Nanoha is getting a movie!

Yes this isn’t a lie and quite possible one of the biggest news this summer (For a Fate chan fan like me anyway). According to Moonphase the movie will be set for early 2009 (meaning the winter 2009 block) and is supposidly going to be a remake of the first Nanoha series (covering how Nanoha and Fate chan met etc).

Wagtails. I love them, don’t you too? Okay seriously though, this was yet another good episode (as far as expectations go seen as you’ll feel as if deja vu has hit because you’ve “read this somewhere before”).

Code Geass R2 Episode 15 (Wait….Code Geass Is Actually A Legitimate Concept?!)

So somebody asked today if I could do my little spiel about Code Geass R2 and I said “I’m on vacation”.  Then Deathasaurus asked if I could do it and I said……”do I have to?”  Well I guess I’d be letting some people down if I didn’t and I swore I wouldn’t give in this time, but…..argggggh just one more and that’s it okay?  Please?  Alright here we go…..just don’t go expecting this to be anything grand this week.

I think I have only one word to describe this episode; cheesy…but before you get the wrong idea I also think that it is good cheese.

Kara no Kyoukai ~ 3rd movie ~ Another tragic character? And this time, she doesn’t feel pain!

…Or for at least part of the movie she was. Well, finally the third movie is out and I just have to say what an impressive speed on the fansub version because to be honest, I know myself that I wouldn’t have understood much besides the visual parts if it wasn’t for the subtitles so thankyou gg-TakaJun.

On a more important note, yes this is the third movie and it came at us with a bang. I think I may have watched too many movies lately but mah whatever, this was enjoyable for its length and I was surprised at how quickly time flew.

Time For A Short Break From Blogging Again And Brief Battlestar Galactica Miniseries Impressions

So I’ve decided to give myself a couple weeks off from blogging and reading blogs in general.  It’s just become mentally exhausting to read and comment on my fellow bloggers articles let alone comment on them.   Mostly because there’s just nothing I find interesting or remotely thought provoking being written right now…..no offense, but I actually kind of mean it when I make those “it’s all the same comments”.  I guess I’m a little high maintenance when it comes to what I’ll read without having the urge to critique what people have written up and down the whole article if I think it’s ill-conceived.  Blame that on the Graduate effect that turns us a little snobbish.
