I’m Debating Whether I Should Continue Blogging Code Geass

Not because I think it sucks or is a trainwreck like everyone else seems to think now, but because everyone else seems to think it sucks and it’s a trainwreck.  I mean what’s the point?  People have already made up their mind on this series and are just going to end up commenting that it sucks, is poorly written and this and that etc if I bother to take the time to give my thoughts on it anymore.  I don’t know about other people, but I’m just trying to get a little enjoyment out of this series while I still have the slim opportunity of a chance to.  That can only be done if I just watch it in private and don’t follow any of what anybody say about it on the internet anymore in my opinion.  It’s a shame really, but the negativity about the series has really killed it for me in the last few weeks. Detroit Metal City Episode 01

This Is One Of The Most Family Friendly Lines In The Entire Show.  No I’m Not Motherfucking Kidding!

So I decided to give this show a chance (read: was inundated with people yelling at me to watch it which usually ends in misery for all involved parties) after being told it was one of the funniest comedies to come out this year and I thought,  why not since it didn’t look like it was based entirely around slapstick comedy crap like all of the other so called “comedy” animes lately.  I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised and found this show to be genuinely amusing.  It’s signature style is in it’s very essence, an over the top parody of those death metal bands you see trying to be as hardcore as humanly possible and the contrast between the main characters meek civilian J-Pop loving persona and his secret identity as the hardcore, take no prisoners, scum of the earth, Krauser of the popular death metal band Detroit Metal City.  Continue reading ‘Detroit Metal City Episode 01′

Random Code Geass Thoughts Before The Revelations

Boss #5:  Prepare Yourselves For This Weeks Challenge!

Hmmmm….so the Knight of Rounds characters are kind of starting to seem more like boss fights to me then actual characters, other then perhaps Anya. Does anyone get a sort of Knightmare Frame of the Week feel from then. Not that that’s bad or anything since they provide fairly worthy adversaries for the most part, but how long do we really think Monica and Dorothy are going to last? My One Month Final Trial Period To See Whether It’s Actually Worth Reading Other Anime Blogs Has Passed

Judgement:  Not Happening

To be honest, all I frequently see anymore is what appears to me as pettiness, complaining and writing whatever it takes to get the most views and comments.   I feel like it’s something I’d rather not partake of anymore while I instead devote my time to reading other writings worthy of my time such as manga/novels/graphic novels which bring me joy instead of regret or perhaps more specifically The Watchmen which I’ve been putting off for way to long.  A friend of mine has also advised me that I talk far to much about the blogosphere and what it is trumpeting or denouncing at any given time and that it is affecting my ability to enjoy the shows I watch.  Plus he’s just plain sick of hearing me talk about it period. :p

The feeling of sameness across the board remains as well and I still don’t see anything being written that interests me.  To further compound the issues, nobody seems to be listening to anything other then what they agree with anymore and as such new ideas and ways of looking at things are not being generated.  So what’s the point?  What do I have to gain if I choose to read one blog or another when everyone pretty much has the exact same thing to say? The answer is nothing really.  Maybe in a few more years anime blogging will get some new blood.  People with new ideas, ways of presenting them and a more open mind.  Maybe then it’ll be worth it to read them again.  Until then like I said, not happening. Strike Witches episode 9 ~ Age of the witches

Minna won’t shoot~

Ah ha! I was right about Minna’s actions…pfff; she could never fool me with such suspicious actions in the first place, not to mention the truck loads of hints throughout the previous episode.

They Made Me Do It (Gundam 00 OST 2)

First Off The Attentive Person Will Notice That This Cover Is A Replica Of The First OST’s Cover Only With The Gundam Exia In Place Of Setsuna.  Same Position Too

So people have been asking me to take a look at the second Gundam 00 OST for a while now and with Code Geass R2 OST I that demand has risen.  If felt, “hey, why not, it’s overdue anyway”.  So without further ado (and really that’s not possible at this point) here’s Gundam 00 OST 2 as I took it. This One Is For Haesslich (Ashford Academy May Be In Shambles But The Show Is Doing Well)

Looks Like The Side Facing The Explosion Took A Hit After All

We were wrong Haesslich, Ashford’s going to need some renovations. :p I guess we saw the other side of the school in episode 19.  Also apparently the dorms are gone in the blast as well.  Isn’t it just a little depressing, that whole reference to episode 7.  Happiness might be glass, pretty and idealistic, but glass is fragile and it just got shattered by the bomb.  I think some people might be right that the only people who are going to be standing on this ground watching fireworks come the end of the series are the people who weren’t there in the original picture.  Of course that would mean Nunally has to be alive and I’m still sticking to me theory that she got away on an alternate ship and the series homepage just covers characters assumed to be dead at the moment of the latest episode. Blast from the past ~ G Gundam ~ Shining finger!

ImageHost.org

Well I’ll be damned…

Here is another blast from the past but one which I can’t believe that I’ve just finished watching. Not really being a fan of Gundams (though I remember that it used to be one of my childhood dreams to be piloting one thanks to Gundam Wing corrupting me during the black hole of my life when I didn’t even know what anime was), I took a look at this series out of impulse and…damn…it makes me realise that I should do things like this more often.

Code Geass R2 OST 1 Is Awesome

Wow Even The Cover Is Awesome

Yeah so remember when I said that the music in R2 had been mediocore.  Well I take it back.  Perhaps it had something to do with me focusing to much on blogging the scenes and not paying enough attention to the music, or perhaps it was just that the show has never let me hear more then a few songs in their entirety before, but the music is actually damn good.  From whimsical to ominous to epic and grandiose, it’s one of those OST’s that has it all.  I’m going to go over each of the songs in brief like I usually do just to give a general idea of what we’re getting with this one. Sekirei episode 9 ~ Broken smoke machine is broken

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I thought I told you already…no touching the sexy bishie chest >.>

Yes, the smoke machine is broken but no, I won’t be posting screencaps for the “lovely” loot…you will just have to see that for yourself in the own privacy of your bedroom.
