Just look into those dreamy eyes *__*
Honestly, I really do think that it should be made into a rule that whenever T Rie decides to voice a character, she should be given a “tragic type” kind of role, her voice is absolutely perfect for that personality stereotype and that isn’t just the fanboy me who is talking.
Thoughts: Finally, the whole war issue set in this world is given some realistic light. I was beginning to worry where the stress and drama of fighting a wall will eventually hit rather than just watching friendly fangirls being…friendly. But who would have guessed (well, I did) that it was Minna’s job to provide all of the angst seen in this episode (I mean…just because she is voiced by T Rie doesn’t mean…oh wait, it does).
Even more surprising was the nearing the end of the episode where Minna suddenly pulled the gun out on Mio after a chat with her about how she feels and one…significant…line;
“But, even now, I’m afraid of losing someone.”
So what? She completely contradicts her own comment by pulling out a gun. It clearly isn’t that simple though as we know that Minna and Mio are “best friends for life”. But what is interesting and somewhat overshadowed is that perhaps what caused Minna to do this was because she believes that Mio might cause the deaths of those she cares (namely herself) for in the near future. There was a quick scene where Mio’s shield during the fight failed on her and a piece of neuroi flew past her head. Minna also saw this and probably though that there is something serious going on with Mio’s combat condition and so decided to play the villain herself to prevent Mio from entering the next fight (though as you can see from the preview…Mio isn’t doing so well so operation “protect your loved ones” failed).
As to why Minna is in such a state of protectiveness was all due to her baka boyfriend who got himself killed in battle. Evil, evil person who left a scar on poor Minna’s heart. This is why tragic characters are so lovable (by me anyway…).
/huggies/
As for the rest of the episode, I just can’t believe that a boy (and this being a pro yuri series) presented Yoshika (yes her, out of all of the girls he could have picked he had to pick the one who is most loli in and unattractive way) with a love letter of thanks.
What is the world coming to?
Screencaps and “wise guy” comments:

HAHA! Reminds me of Sky girls

Why Yoshika?…why…

And just like how a cliche should be, the piece of paper flies off into a wall and…

…Uhoh…

OH GOD HOW COULD THEY!

Now I never knew that Perrine could fire off lightning blots from her hair

Shield up…

Warning! There has been a breach!

Oh SHI~

And this is the face of the bugger who left poor Minna with a broken heart >.>

Lovely song…just lovely

What a surprising turn of events eh? Just what is she thinking?

I don’t think he was that bad a guy
. Let’s blame the idiot who came up with the battle plan that left quite a few soldiers to get slaughtered. Though really the guy should have stuck to playing music.
Really though, Yoshika of all people getting the letter. Seriously man if your going to risk Minna’s wrath at least aim higher. But the real tragedy of all this is Lynette’s lack of interaction with guys
. First an all girls school and then getting an anti-guy blanket order put up.
Do agree with a theory that Minna will put Mio’s barrier to a test with a close shot to confirm her suspicions. While Mio’s eye is extremely useful if she can’t defend that’s a major concern.
Oh man I want to catch up with Strike Witches now. Solely because Im a Tanaka Rie fan.
And to make myslef sound like stalker. I might go to see her at the NY anime festival.
I shat bricks when I found out that T Rie was going to guest appear at NY. Shame that I have no way of getting there…*sobs*
