I recently found out about this game novel thing and searched the Internet for some way to play/read it. I found this site while searching. Just a quick question, do I need all three patches to play because I downloaded the first one and all the little screen you click was flash Witch Hunt 07th Expansion or whatever.

An update in case it wasn’t seen: the demo and Episode 3 have their own patch now. Please check again the article, the links are there.

Vexe: We really cannot give a proper approximation, considering that it is highly dependant of how our translators are busy.
That said, it is very likely that we will provide a partial patch, pretty much like episode 1.

The version on the official site IS considered as a demo. The episode 1 in there is complete, but it is solely considered as a “demo” as it won’t go past episode 1. There won’t be anything beyond this point as a freeware.

There isn’t any difference in BGM, but the demo has been made after Episode 2 release, hence why the structure is similar enough so the patch works vastly well with it.

OTOH, the original episode 1 game is extremely different and it is void of BGM with the patch.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a demo/promo version. I haven’t had a single problem with BGM as far as I can tell. I’ll try the Episode 1+2 version of the game, though, to see if there are any differences.

we are currently very busy with episode 2 and 3 translations. That said, we will obviously make sure that the patch can work with episode 3 (and possibly the demo of episode 1)

Do not mistake Episode 1 with the demo.
As already explained in the AS thread and readme, the patch can be used. The issue is that with episode 1 game, it won’t work properly as the BGM directory is extremely different, which is why we don’t recommend episode 1 game, as playing the game without the BGM is simply a huge minus for the game itself.

the demo works more or less fine with the patch, but some menu won’t work properly due of this specific differences in structure.
