Tear blushed! *dies*
So! As an extra surprise, it seems like episode two was aired with the first on a different channel. This is just great as we don’t need to wait a week for the next episode and we can hurry up and get straight into the story (to be honest, the start of the story is somewhat boring…I can’t wait until we hit the action scenes as I am expecting quality!).
Thoughts: So this episode is the start of a wonderful adventure as well as the disintegration of my ear drums. The interesting thing is that I usually love cute…and fluffy little animals but they are either mute or at least don’t talk human language in such a high pitched voice. To make a comparison, it was like nails on a chalkboard. Likewise for the delightful loli called Anise. But the inclusion of Tear going dere over the little thing was a huge plus…I would even go as far as to say that all is forgiven.
The story continues with Luke being such a spoilt brat, as expected. He tried to take food and told the shop owner to put it on his tab…who does he think he is? But of course, being just a child he can’t really make out the situation.
They we get into the whole business of some lion monster causing trouble for the town and they set off to dispose of it with the help of out blue, furry friend over there. In fact, it was all his fault that the lion mother had to die because Mieu burned her home with fire. Tsk, tsk.
We are also introduced to the Fon master Ion (the trap character) and the super sexy bishie; Jade (such a fitting voice for him). Like I say though, I am hoping for a smooth ride after we do away with these introductions and get into the real meat of the story. For the moment, it is rather medicore but horrible is a word still far, far away.
If the preview is any indication…it should be getting pretty sweet come next episode.
Screen caps (horrible quality) and “wise guy” comments.
That is one grand car chase scene if I have ever seen one
“Oooh apples”
“Hey mister, have some great apples”
“Wait! You haven’t paid yet!”
“Pfff, I’m a prince”
“This little smug tried to run off with my apple”
“alright, you may hang him”
“But…I’m a prince” O.o
Sexy Jade
Trap Ion
Annoying girl
*Sweat drops*
Old man cheagle is old
Please kill it
And for once, I agree with Luke
Poor, innocent, protective and caring lion monster ;___;
Oh Shi~

Try playing the game. I might’ve gotten used to it, but imagine having to hear Mieu’s voice every five seconds in a dungeon cuz the Sorcerer’s Ring is attached to Mieu, meaning that he’ll open his mouth every single time breathes fire.
I wish I could play the game…but I am also imagining the horrors…for my ears especially ^^’
It’s not so bad… =P
At least in the American version (the one that I have played through and beaten) Anise isn’t as annoying as in this. While she does have a sort of high pitched voice, as would be expected at her age, it does not make your ears hurt like it does here ;D.
That being said, the VA’s for this overall seem very fitting. Jade/Ion are perfect fits, compared to the English VA’s in the game, and the others fit it reasonably well (I will admit, Mieu does fit the job a little too well, heh)
I’m with Luke in destroying Mieu. God that thing is as annoying as during the game. I didn’t want to use the sorcerers ring for that reason alone
. Honestly I felt for the ligers since they didn’t do that much wrong here. It was their forest that got burned down so they had to move somewhere else. Let the cheagles get eaten its their fault after all.
Someone really needs to hit home the being in enemy territory thing. They aren’t going to put it on your tab. But guess we’ll have to suffer the growing pains of him having no clue what’s going on.
I love the opening song and how they deal to include some scenes from the actual episode.
I’m waiting for the review of episode 3 now *____*
Really? I kinda like Anise’s voice…
She’s downright adorable in skits >_<
(Feels so alone…)
