Yeah, so remember how I said that Rey Za Burrel’s voice sounded deeper to me in Super Robot Wars Z compared to the anime. That wasn’t just my usual hearing problems, it’s actually a real bug. You see, for whatever reason an audio glitch causes certain characters voice files to playback at a slower rate then they should. Not much in most cases, but enough to give them a noticeably deeper sounding and distorted voice. The bug seems to have primarily affected the files for Takehito Koyasu and Gundam Seed Destiny voice characters, but there’s also an impressive one for the character Lia from Super Dimension Century Orguss that plays even slower then the other ones. At about half the normal speed I would estimate. I found a short video series on niconico (courtesy of a link from Duo Maxwell on the Animesuki Forums) that lets you hear the in game voices for each of the affected characters lines first, followed by what the same line should sound like when played at a normal speed (I’m guessing the guy used an audio ripping tool to tweak the sound).
