A tip, don’t annoy this girl D:
So it seems like Akina had more than one chance to banish Enjin to the other world, both of which he just let him go because he felt that Gin could be saved…idiot…
Thoughts: That said I fully understand his intentions. Akina just wants a way to save his friend as he feels that there might still be a chance. However, on both occasions and the flashback especially I just get this feeling that Akina had made a rather pathetic attempt in trying to do anything with the situation at all. He refused Gin’s plea to send him off so strongly yet he didn’t even try to stop him from running off and poor Ao was also there watching her brother being taken over and in extreme pain.
It just seems like while Akina didn’t want send Gin to the other world because he felt that he can still be saved he is also not doing much to improve the situation rather than procrastinating, thinking that things would get better by themselves and it is clear he has no plan against Enjin when they were to encounter each other. This just rubs me the wrong way as I am beginning to find Akina quite a useless character because of it. It would be fine if he is able to save Gin to prove everyone wrong but I don’t really agree in allowing others to get hurt in the process of him trying to think up a plan…and god knows how long it will take him to think of one, during which Enjin is still running around causing destruction.
There isn’t much that has happened in the episode besides that as an important detail I noticed. Most of the episode was spent showing the after effects of one of the nana-go tree being destroyed and a little bit of explanation on the black shadow that spawned all over town during that night.
It seems like youkai who came into contact with that black shadow (funnily enough the whole thing reminds me of F/SN again XD) will lost control over their youkai powers depending on how much of the shadow they in contact with. Touka obviously was one who was affected by this quite badly as we see her destroy things with her oni strength. Now if she was fighting with Enjin back then, she would have been able to do more than all the others put together ^^’.
And so by the end of the episode we have established that Ao is going all depressed and angsty and has already given up hope on saving her brother. Akina still doesn’t want to give up hope but I think this would just come back and bite him in the ass very soon. I hope that Ao’s brother doesn’t come back as that would gave way to a very lame ending to the series.
Oh and the elders also plan to destroy all of the trees in the town. What affect this would have on the citizens is unknown but based on Hime’s reaction, it is a very bad idea to destroy the trees.
Screen caps and “wise guy” comments:
Touka…is it that time of month again?
Seriously Kyousuke don’t ask XD
The very first hint of something going terribly wrong
Nice to know…but then the last screen cap proves something very illogical
Here is another victim
Seems like we are getting down to the problem
Touka trips…and takes the pavement with her
More flying boulders
let me rephrase…”HOLY SHI~~!”
And I am surprised that the driver didn’t die
Some evil black shadow causing all the problems
I half agree…on one hand Hime should have called for help, on the other she has no one to call to
Frustrated Hime letting out her anger in a bad way
Touka is really dangerous to be near for the time being, I wonder what would happen if she hugged Akina
For what indeed…we still don’t know what wrong you did
You have to feel sorry for her for being a half
Plead as much as you can…Akina is stubbon as a rock
Even Ao can understand the situation
Some important meeting where…
The old man says something completely ridiculous >.>
