Hmm…where have I seen this before?
Awesome! It was about time that the story finally picked up from where episode two left off and even though it still hasn’t past the point even with this episode, I was glad to see that they added more information to the reused scenes from episode two. Though the transition between the past and present was horribly done and frankly quite confusing…for a while I thought that the writers screwed up on the entire timeskip before finding out that it was actually working as intended.
Thoughts: Well about a third of this episode was from the past. Kagura was absolutely left in pieces after Yomi disappeared from the hospital but nothing can be done about the situation apart from shedding tears and going to her friends for comfort. Meanwhile a naked Yomi found her way back home to take out Mei’s father and reclaim her sword. At the same time Kagura’s father confronts butterfly boy who disappears after being attacked by Kagura’s dad. Seems like he won’t be dying any time soon (-___-).
Then the sudden jump back to present time where Kagura and the team took care of the flaming dino thing. But adding to this I think that we get an extra scene where Kagura asks whether Noriyuki still believes in Yomi. Well from the past it was already revealed that he did some investigation for himself on Yomi’s case and it came to the conclusion that there is someone else pulling the strings behind the scenes (well duh?).
Then the whole “Yello Kagura” scene from Yomi was so insane, bringing back sweet memories before all hell is let loose. It is like when she said those words everyone in front of her immediately shat bricks. EPICNESS 
But pretty much everything else was the same. The most significant thing to come from this episode is the fact that Noriyuki allowed Kazuki to die such a painful death at the hands of Yomi. Yes ferret boy, regret and angst with all your might. Actually this scene already showed Yomi stab Kazuki a few times uncensored so it was just damn random when the final blow was censored by some yellow fog…it makes me think that Kazuki “let one off” before this death killing the entire scene as it made it more hilarious that saddening. Still that isn’t to say that I didn’t feel sorry for Kazuki…and of course Yomi as well. Just before she killed Kazuki it seemed like we get a glimpse of Yomi’s normal personality begging for Noriyuki to hurry up and kill her before she killed him…though as you could have guessed, Noriyuki couldn’t do anything but sit there and wet himself.
It is a tough choice but I don’t completely blame him for not wanting to kill Yomi…it is one of those cases where it couldn’t have been helped at all. Still if the normal Yomi is still alive somewhere inside her then maybe she could make a comeback later on.
An so the episode ends with Kagura about to be slashed but was saved by her daddy at the last second. So it seems to be a face off for next episode and something tells me that Kagura will be gaining a new pet.
