Ga-Rei Zero episode 11 ~ First it's bike fu, now it's wheelchair fu

The epic has already begun!

So if you thought that bike fu was epic and awesome from Natsuki then you should now know who taught her her moves after watching this episode…as unbelievable as it seems the origination of bike fu might just probably be taken from from the long lost ancient art of wheelchair fu!

Thoughts: And of course the only wheelchair to be found in this series is the one which the president have been sitting on all along so I guess you wouldn’t believe that she is an 8th dan master of it unless you see it with your very eyes, well I certainly didn’t believe so and was proven so wrong at that XD

This is probably the second or third best episode for the series (depending on how the final episode will go) and so it felt great that all the time it took to go through the boring parts of the series wasn’t unrewarded. The strength of this series is definitely their creative fight scenes though it is a shame that they never really last all that long.

The first fight with Kagura’s daddy proved that he is worthy to be called the head of the family and the owner of the Byakuei. Even with having a handicap of not being much of a fighter himself, he was able to outsmart Yomi using just the chain which held Byakuei in place. Though the thing about getting negative feedback from Byakuei when it was attacked was rather inconsistent as far as we know, the spirit entities suffer damage not linked to the user. Though it could be because Byakuei is a spirit inside daddy which may have been the difference between it and Rangurren or you can either see it as a convenient plot hole. Still it doesn’t wipe away the fact that Kagura pretty much caused the death of her father.

Then there was a break in the middle where the members of the Environment Ministry group up to prepare on an all out attack on Yomi. Meanwhile we get a rather nice and touching scene between Kagura and daddy. Though as he reaches his limits it is clear that he will be dying soon in the episode. Yomi was also doing damage to the HQ of that place where we had three women sleeping(?)…frankly I didn’t have much clue at this part.

Then the star of the fight was obviously the president with her wheelchair fu and minigun. I suppose the enjoyment from this came from being pleasantly shocked by how sudden it all happened rather than looking at the realistic side of things.

Though tragedy hits when Yomi came back from “being dead” to stab Kiri (NOOOOOOOOOOO) while quickly moving off to see Rangurren blinding Iwahata and killing off one of the Nabuu twins (OMG NOOOOOOOO!).

And right on cue we have the dramatic death of Kagura’s daddy all above such a sad BGM tune…why is this series so cruel? ;_____;

Not only that Yomi comes back yet again when we have the president thinking that her attack took her head off and leaving the fight scene with an evil smirk on her face. One can only assume the fate of the president and the already dying Kiri chan…

Now that Kagura has recieved an insane powerup and a new michael sword to boot, I can’t wait for the final episode for the series. Sparks will fly.

Also to note, it seems like the old Yomi still hasn’t been replaced completely by the evil Yomi personality. We saw her fighting back her dark side in this episode when she realises what she did to Kazuki and the others (Natsukiiiii!) but can’t do anything to stop it unfortunately. I think if Yomi is going to die then she will die with the help of her old self.

I wonder if the series would end with Yomi being killed or not. Whatever the case I am expecting a second season
