GUHHHHH, heart burn D:
Now that I think about it, I suppose Anise’s actions towards Arietta in the previous episode (with all the provoking and taunting then the fight to the death) may not be as bad as they first seem in that Anise also sacrificed a lot to play the role of the villain. Whether it is true or not, the other way to look at the situation would be that Anise saved Arietta from hating anyone else other than herself since she brought all that rage to herself from the taunts. She may have aimed to get herself targetted by Arietta so that the truth (the unbearable truth for her) may never come to light and if that was the aim then Anise succeeded. Still it wasn’t something I approve of since it did cost the life of poor Arietta…
Thoughts: But back onto this episode and allow me to say that absolutely nothing happens in it…sadly…
I am not even sure if I can write much for this but here goes.
Firstly I was surprised to see that Sync is back although it shouldn’t come as shocking after a while since there is probably an army of Ion clones out there…somewhere for Van to use as pawns.
Secondly we have the group hitting an impasse when they are left without clues in what to do next faced with the current situation. I am surprised that they didn’t decide on travelling to “X” location to check things out but I suppose even heros need rest once in a while.
We do get a huge foreshadowing of Natalia and Largo yet again which basically tells the viewers that they are father and daughter (and if what I just said was a spoiler for you then WHAT THE HECK have you been watching for the past few months *rolleyes*).
Luke, being the goody two shoes that he is, does some pretty nice things in telling Tear and Natalia to cheer up a depressed Anise (actually, I want her to repent more for killing Ion and Arietta! D: ) and set things up between Asch and his real parents. But Asch being the tsundere that he is tells Luke that it was unnecessary but we all know that he was happy to see his parents again…it is just that he knows what needs to be done and it isn’t trying to build a warm family at this point in time. Jade also asks an important question to him which had me raising eyebrows…it seems like Asch’s body is acting weird and I believe that it has something to do with Luke…
Blah blah, more jargon on how the miasma is spreading all around the world which Jade presents the group with an option…to sacrifice 10 thousand people and have Asch use his hyperresonance, which will also kill him in the process. Naturally this is a no no for the group but that doesn’t apply to Asch who overhears the whole conversation and plans to use the replicas as sacrifice since they are made from the seventh fonons.
So the group is then forced to chase after Asch which pretty much brings us to the end of this very boring and uneventful episode…I want the fights to come back D:
Screen caps and comments:
That’s right, if you bad mouth Arietta Largo will take your head off
Oh what he is back again…I should have known
And guess what Largo lost in the snow
Like anyone could make such a difficult connection
Although…if they are smart they would have more than one machine
Finally some rest
As much as it surprised the girls for Luke to ask them to cheer Anise up, I would rather she stays depressed a bit longer
Just a bit more please D:
Oh Luke wants to talk to the guys in private eh? :p
He is holding the pendant in case you haven’t noticed
*Smirk* as if he didn’t do that already when he disowned his own daughter
Damn right she does! So what’s wrong with Largo being her father?
He has been doing that ages ago
A touching reunion…another thing that Luke did right in this episode
Even father is showing a more soft expression than usual
So that is where all the self pity is coming from
Although you should admit that you are happy that he did, damn Asch is such a tsundere
eh?
ehhhh? Asch is going to die soon ;____;
NUUUUUU!
And speaking of bad news
Miu turned into a fricking ghost!
Unfortunately for Luke, he can’t become a martyr that easily
Neither is Asch able to do the same it seems
A definite NO-NO
Unfortunately for them, Asch heard everything
I wonder how probable space travel is for them back in the stone ages
QUALITY end

*looks at first paragraph* Natalia…Do you mean Anise?
All of the God Generals have been found alive and one has died after living through that avalanche. I think this was a requisite for Sunrise to pick up the series. XD;;
But with all jokes aside, this episode is really just building up…not much more. I still can’t wait till the final dungeon~
I found the last scene very amusing. Not that it was good or anything, but because it shows where Luke got his stupid moments from. *sigh* OF COURSE RUNNING UP THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF STAIRS IS FASTER THAN WAITING A FEW MINUTES/SHOVING PEOPLE TO GET ON THE ELEVATOR. The young royalty of Kimlasca are a very impulsive bunch, aren’t they?
I knew I needed more sleep…thanks for that =_____=
And you are beginning to catch on to the illogical side of things, yes, running up stairs is a lot faster
I have to say, I did want a little more of depressed!Anise after that fight in the last ep. XD
I forgot that Sunrise hadn’t shown Sync was back until this ep. .___. No wonder I found how they introduced Sync in this ep as if the watchers weren’t anticipating it lol.
Asch’s stupidity is aided by his immense impatience.
And his spontaneous decisions that aren’t thought out very well; the world can wait a few more minutes until he kills himself and saves it, amiright?
Personally I’d take the stairs instead of the elevator as well, but that’s because I’m hardcore.
Me and my father will often take the stairs in buildings and beat my mother who takes the elevator to our destination.
