Feel free to start laughing
Oh finally…and do I have a lot to catch up on, well it seems like this will be a busy week again *gulps*
Thoughts: And with the cat finally out of the bag, I can safely say that Largo turned out to be Natalia’s real father (like that was ever really needed to be said out loud). It seems like this is the final bit of story for Natalia as it tied things up rather nicely to a full round trip back to the source. Yes, the score is evil but the really interesting problem put forward here is the objective of the characters who are working towards the same goal. As Largo so nicely puts it, their aims are the same but the method is completely different and hence they had to be enemies in the end.
But as usual, the episode becomes rather damp with the sheer amount of talk and very little action. You would expect action to outweigh the talk at this point in the series but judging from this episode and the next few ones (muhahaha, I can see into the future), I would be happy if the final fights amounted to even 2 minutes of solid screentime.
The episode so nicely continues leading us to the same conclusion that Largo is in fact Natalia’s father before having the offical chat scene where everything is spilt to the girl in question. Naturally Natalia was simply dumbfounded upon hearing the truth but you must really commend her for continuing on with the journey despite knowing that the chances of fighting her own flesh and blood are high, and just what do you know, the fateful battle did come about later on and she was forced to strike down her own father.
Just like Arietta’s part, I still find that the God Generals have the better characters and deepest personalities but are sadly overshadowed by the main cast like insects (shrugs* it must be the tragic aspect of their past and seen as that is my natural weak spot, I’m not at all surprised how strongly I feel for their deaths). Asides from Dist, I felt very sad to see Largo die in such a way and especially since he didn’t make it out with a bang (damn you sucky fight scene!). Natalia ended up killing her own father but that isn’t the most tragic aspect of the scene, to me anyway. What was the most tragic aspect of it focused more on Largo’s seemingly coldhearted personality but you just know that he is actually a caring person and still loved her daughter very much, it wasn’t until his death where he showed a glimpse of this which made it all the more tragic.
As I said before aswell I quite liked the way he put Luke’s naive ideals into perspective. Sure enough they all have a problem with the score being the root of all evils but then again they can never become allies since one side believes in restarting anew while the other side have their mind set on genocide. Thinking like this I believe that Van’s actions are a necessary evil which was brought about due to his immense sense of loss and anger at the way the world works. He became “crazy” since that day but in his mind he probably feels that his actions are just.
Meanwhile the other half of the group go to the south pole to take out Mohs and rescue another Ion replica, why do I have a feeling that Anise has just picked up a new plaything. That asides, Mohs death was VERY lame…talk about a one hit kill on a supposed boss *rolleyes*
Screen caps and comments:
Well isn’t that a nice way to put it, sorry Luke…I was hoping that you would have died
I’m proud of his persistence too *rolleyes*
Largo, new gear, declaration of war (all the usual blah)
More foreshadowing, laughs
Well technically, ~Largo is doing the same
Dun dun DUNNNN
I think that is already bad news enough
But I guess Natalia needed it to be spelt out to her
Fortunately I can feel sorry for her since it seems that she never does get a break…first it was knowing that she really wasn’t a princess, then getting disowned by her father THEN knowing that her real father is an enemy, poor girl
More technical bullshit ^^’
Give this girl a medal for being so tough already, where is Asch’s shoulders to cry on when you need it
And with Tear having a similar case to Natalia, I guess that the extra support for her was needed
Oh? what asides of Ion clone standing over there
Van is alive!!!!! O.O;
Stupid Lorelei, why the heck did it have to save Van from death? if it didn’t then it wouldn’t have needed help from Luke and Asch
You might as well replace his ramblings for Berserkers black bars
Oh Natalia knows (abit too late)
Cue the sad, sob story
…and there they made hot-…I really shouldn’t say the rest of it XD
Now if this was a court room then I believe that the clash of opinions wouldn’t end in violence
Quite a nice counter coming from Largo
Not to mention rather convincing, I am getting pulled over to their side!
Purge them all!
And while he is willing to kill his enemies, he ended up killing his own heart ;____;
One hit kill fail
Score…score…scor-
Luke still doesn’t get it
Evil?
or is this the real evil view?
NOOOOOOOOOOO
Though seriously I am torn by all this, whether Natalia did the right thing or not is still in a shade of grey
And so the mighty…
…Breathes his final breath…
A sad end all around, here is hoping that Natalia gets a happy ending with Asch (or Guy)

Have to agree that Natalia really can’t catch a break. I mean after all that she gets hit with her biological father being the enemy. Now she has officially at one point or another had one father trying to kill her. In the end she had to kill one.
Let’s not even get into having her childhood friend ‘lose his memory’ find out he got cloned and now the original is understandably bitter.
I’m hoping she gets a happy ending after all that stuff. Sure many characters have suffered but she’s been hit pretty hard.
I see you’re using AbyssalChronicles now…*remembers timing the last scene at 3AM*
I’ve always been reserved about the God Generals…while I do admit that Largo and Arietta were well rounded backstory-wise…Dist felt like merely a branch off of Jade’s backstory, and I won’t spoil Legretta for you. Sync was okay, but considering the fact that he shares the same basic backstory with the Ion replica we had and Florian, it just doesn’t feel that impacting. No need to explain Asch though, his backstory’s a major part of the plot *hurr*.
I think Mohs’ death was better than the one in the game…he turned to a blob of goo in the game, and it was really icky.
The best part of the villains in ToA is that there’s really no set good or bad if you take all of their goals into consideration. All factions seek to save the world…except Dist. Dist just wants PROFESSOR NEBILIM~~~~ -shot-
Speaking of Professor Nebilim, she won’t be appearing in this anime, but you’d probably love her Deathie.
What do you mean probably? I already DO love her! ^^’
Thanks to a good design and from what little I have seen of her, a mature personality :3
And thanks to Miken, since I didn’t know you were a subber for AbyssalChronicles, for this episode XD
(gg just decided to troll us all with no releases so I had no other choice, other than using the raw that is…).
@Deathie: gg trolling people with delayed releases?! I am shocked!
Seriously don’t bother with gg. I’ll tell you why later.
@Deathie: Yeah, I’ve timed somewhere around half the episodes for Abyssal Chronicles…Which reminds me, I’m supposed to be timing episode 25 right now, but then again, I don’t want to get depressed either. XD;;
I admit that I don’t use gg’s subs very often. For one, I had no reason for using their subs for ToA for very obvious reasons, and I went to other groups for a number of their series.
