I Never Thought I Would Have To Get Directly Involved In Blogging Drama Again But…..

Look 21stcenturydigitalboy, son……I know you don’t seem to get this whole blogging thing, but the way it works is that you make a post and people comment on it and then you reply…..preferably without acting much like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum by scribbling all over the wall.  If you can’t actually handle interacting with other people on any normal level and lack any form of social skills then I would strongly recommend disabling commentary since you really seem to be struggling with this whole concept of communication with readers anyway.  In short do grow up already, if not for everyone else’s sake, at least for your own.

Ahaha oh wow. You got one heck of a response there. I’m not sure I can really describe my shock at seeing a first response like that. That was certainly… going overboard.

  2. 2 21stcenturydigitalboy April 3, 2009 at 1:50 am

Wow, you made a post about it. Trying to start something over a joke? whatever, pal.

  3. 3 Duo Maxwell April 3, 2009 at 2:23 am

Just calm down or leave it alone, Kaioshin. Somehow I have a feeling you’re a little bit to harsh when it come to KyoAni’s show.

Anyway, I don’t like the kind of review that use the other shows to make a comparing, which easily to gather a flame war from other shows’ fan. After reading too many “unlike” coming from your review, I can’t help but feel like you’re trying to dumb down other show to promote K-On. You may think it’s the fact, but I’m not. It’ll leave negative impression to people who haven’t watch the anime you use for your review, or the fan.
And act mature. You’re blogging, you must prepare for criticism.

K-On is overhyped, yes. Overrated? Dunno, although I expect it will be when the show end.
But does it entertain? Oh yes. Enjoyable? Why, of course, my kind of show after all.

  4. 4 21stcenturydigitalboy April 3, 2009 at 3:01 am

i can agree with your idea that comparisons make for a lame review, but I was just saying what came to mind after watching the raw. And what I got was not criticism, it was blatant trolling. I reacted with further trolling. It’s my blog, I do as I please.

    Edit: Manners please.

  5. 5 Sorrow-kun April 3, 2009 at 3:51 am

Kaioshin Sama is hypercritical of KyoAni titles. DEDB is an asshole on the internet. Trying to figure out if there’s anything in this little episode that didn’t I already know…

  6. 6 Sorrow-kun April 3, 2009 at 3:54 am

    *that I didn’t already know, I mean.

  7. 7 Kaioshin Sama April 3, 2009 at 4:14 am

@21stcenturydigitalboy: Okay here is the deal. I didn’t get your implication that K-On can somehow retroactively fix issues with shows that have absolutely nothing to do with it. It didn’t make any logical sense to me. I also replied to the idea that the funniest joke K-On had to offer was the Krauser one by stating from my perspective that if that was the funniest joke the show had to offer at the moment then they have a long (stretched for effect) way to go with it as far as comedy.

And so then you freaked out and threw a temper tantrum and started editing my posts because apparently you couldn’t be bothered to make a rational response to my statements, but hey you know what, you are absolutely right that that is your problem to deal with not mine, hence why I said you oughta work on those communication skills otherwise nobody is going to want to deal with you before long. Your perfectly free to stick to your current attitude though and see how far it get’s you in the future……

And please somebody tell me where I have been hypercritical or trolling of K-On? Please I want to know.

  8. 8 Duo Maxwell April 3, 2009 at 5:03 am

“And please somebody tell me where I have been hypercritical or trolling of K-On? Please I want to know.”

    This
    “LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!”
It went overboard, literally. Next time try to fit the comment box :p.

But the best would belong to “I don’t watch shows I don’t like, yet I have the right to bitching and talking shit about it”

  9. 9 Kaioshin Sama April 3, 2009 at 5:10 am

@Duo Maxwell: That quote going outside of the comment box wasn’t actually intentional, but I’d hardly call it trolling.

When did I ever say that last quote though?

  10. 10 Myssa Rei April 3, 2009 at 5:12 am

I dunno, Kaioh was pretty much acting par-for-course, but 21stcenturydigitalboy wasn’t winning any arguements, that’s for sure. Seriously? Kannagi? One of the better comedies (not the best) of the previous year? Wow, this one needs perspective. Less knee-jerk reactionism young one.

  11. 11 Duo Maxwell April 3, 2009 at 5:45 am

@Kaisohin: I was joking, man. The last quote doesn’t belong to you, but to the owner of that blog you’re talking about.

  12. 12 21stcenturydigitalboy April 3, 2009 at 10:00 am

kai, the thing here is, what you did was bash on the episode for having a reference as it’s funniest joke when that obviously was not the case. I said from the beginning I was watching it Raw and didn’t understand any of the dialog. I obviously did not even get the jokes at all, so how could I make a statement about which was funniest? And also, you failed because you bashed on references when I happen to love references, meaning that I am biased towards what you are biased against and this doesn’t reflect on the show as a whole. Plus, you decided to pull a bullshit ‘I am better than this show’ act by talking about your high judgementalism towards comedies and then saying how the show had such a ‘long way to go’ when you haven’t even seen the fucking show or know anything about it. All of this was expressed in my reply, just with a few more ‘fucks’ thrown in to express my opinion of you.

And then you replied with yet another high-and-mighty act by calling me childish, which is utterly bullshit. This is the internet, you don’t take this stuff seriously, which it should have been fairly obvious that I was just playing around with my so-called ‘tantrum’. When you made such a bitch-ass comment, I decided to edit it as I saw fit because at that point, I was unable to respect your opinion and decided I should do whatever I want to your comment.

As for the Kannagi comments, all I commented on was the animation. I watched 2 episodes of the show, I saw the fucking animation, I shouldn’t have to finish a show to talk about the fucking animation.

@21stcenturydigitalboy: You know you seem pretty high-strung. I think what you need most is to just chill out at this point and then you can proceed to the whole improving on basic interactions with other humans thing. It also helps if your first reply back to a person is to check if they are actually trolling instead of just freaking out on them because they have a different opinion then you do. Why you would even consider that a person would respond well to somebody calling them an idiot though is beyond me. And no “this is the internet” is not a valid excuse, sorry.

Also for the record I was referring to the fact that I thought the comedy could use a lot of improvement in a joking sort of way. I don’t see how that is bashing, but I’ll probably just chalk that perception of my comment up to your increasingly bizarre style of communicating with other people and perceiving how they are trying to communicate with you.

I call you childish because that is how you come across, and not just to me it seems, though it was your little editing game that sealed the deal. Your talk about not taking the internet seriously amuses me too because if you actually followed that creed then maybe you wouldn’t have thrown your little temper tantrum in the first place and realized that I was just commenting on your review the same as any other person.

Also helping in the social skills department is to not run around accusing people of not having seen an episode that they had in fact actually seen, albeit RAW at the time just like you. Really a lot of this could have been avoided if you had simply not jumped to all of these conclusions about me.

In conclusion, my point still stands, do try to show a little more maturity and maybe learn a thing or two about interacting with other people, and also learn that if you post something on the internet it is subject to peer review. People will comment on your blog posts and you’re probably going to get comments that you disagree with so. If you can’t deal with that then I continue to suggest disabling comments or getting another hobby.

  14. 14 21stcenturydigitalboy April 3, 2009 at 9:15 pm

Excuse me if you didn’t say anything about having watched the episode yourself, and had you, I’d have assumed you too thought it was the episode’s best joke.

    >>Why you would even consider that a person would respond well to somebody calling them an idiot though is beyond me.

    >>Also for the record I was referring to the fact that I thought the comedy could use a lot of improvement in a joking sort of way.

Why you would even consider that a person would think that was a joke is beyond me.

    >>And no “this is the internet” is not a valid excuse, sorry.

Yes, it is. And also, if you didn’t expect hat kind of reaction from me, maybe you should actually read my blog. You know, since I explain in my about page that I am like this, I do this to comments all the time, and I also curse out shows the same way I do people. That’s pretty much the foundation of my personality, and it’s not a flaw.

We have a fundamental difference in philosophy here. You see cussing out the douchebags in your comment box as a bad thing. I see it as a fun thing. Obviously, people who don’t like that style are going to avoid my blog. I’m fine with that. I’m not writing for everyone, I’m writing for myself. People who can appreciate my views and personality are welcome to read my blog, but it is a platform mostly for myself to be myself about anime.

In response to the title of this thread, with all due respect Kaioshin, your own behavior seems to invite this. As disagreeable as his own behavior was, you certainly did not win any points with this completely unnecessary post. (And let’s face it, you’ve almost enthusiastically engaged in pointless drama like this before too.)

  16. 16 gaguri April 6, 2009 at 4:38 am

Although I admit the maturity of 21st boy is what’s preventing me from commenting on his otherwise interesting content, I think Kaoishin sama has his own set of problems when it comes to interaction in blogosphere.

  17. 17 Kaioshin Sama April 6, 2009 at 5:21 am

@Gaguri: Let me know what my problems are, I’m not afraid of a little self-improvement. I know I am not a perfect individual and can be quite haughty and snobbish, but that has a lot to do with the family I grew up in (nurture) and I am trying to change it over time to take on a more laid back and approachable persona.

24 years being raised in an upper class Canadian family is a lot to undo though, but I promise I am trying to work on it.

  18. 18 Duo Maxwell April 6, 2009 at 6:37 am

“I Never Thought I Would Have To Get Directly Involved In Blogging Drama Again But…..”

I guess this is your problem. You get involved into too much blogging drama that it will be bad for your mental.
I know it sounds selfish, but when I think that my time is much more precious, I use the “ignoring” magic that works wonder almost all the time.

  19. 19 gaguri April 6, 2009 at 8:08 am

    @Kaioshin_Sama

I guess there is nothing wrong with just being yourself and who am I to judge how someone should act in internet of all places. But if you want to know why many people, including even a polite and open-minded blogger like hashi find displeasure of the way you voice your opinion, then I guess I can offer my point of view (however helpful it may be) but maybe over private messages at animesuki. I haven’t involved myself in drama since I started blogging and I’d like it to stay that way.

settle down, everybody. chill..that’s always the best play.
