Who is Full Frontal? Find Out By Watching Gundam Unicorn (Hint: His voice may sound familiar)
Obviously people know that Gundam Unicorn is my most anticipated upcoming series this year, so the moment some real news broke about it I just had to be there to get the scoopu. Here’s our cast for Gundam Unicorn:

Alright, time for the good old disection part. I’ve gotta be honest, I’m not really familiar with 75% or so of this cast list, but I know that Bandai/Sunrise usually only go for the best of the best when doing their castings. The one’s I do know though are of coure Haruka Tomatoes who seems to be hitting the big time along with Aya Endo lately, and deservedly so. There is are course also Tetsuya Kakihara and Daisuke Namikawa as well, but the big one is right there almost in the centre of the list, Shuuichi Ikeda. Most people expected it, but it’s still pretty awesome to have the original Char Aznable back again doing a cool character this time. Yeah that’s right I thought Dullandal was waste of his presence. As for the main character, it looks like they are going with a debut performance game like Uso’s in Victory Gundam. Lucky guy, hitting a coveted role like a Gundam lead as one of his first. Of course it could also be Square Enix pulling strings since he seems to have been in a lot of their games.
Also what I missed last night while I was out and away from an internet source is that it’s going to be a 6 episodes OVA with 50 minute episodes a piece. This sounds just about perfect for someting like Unicorn because it strikes just about the right balance between a movie which would be short and have insane productions values, and a 13 episode TV series which gives you more time, but which can never compare to long term projects like an OVA which would have more open deadlines and almost certainly more money and careful attention dedicated to each episode. I’d rather have a good looking series for my 30th Anniversary series, but I’d never want it to be too short. This is the perfect compromise and makes it a celebration that will continue into next year. I’m psyched all over again.

Finally. In other news, MS Igloo 2 subs are out, and the final episode is a party!
Ayumi Fujimura is WANT
LOL. Holy shit. Ikeda is voicing Full Frontal. The ultimate tease.
And yes, it’s a wise decision to make Unicorn an OVA. Waiting for each is a pain in the ass, though. But 50 minutes each? What more Gundam fans can ask for?
