Burning with moeeee!
It wasn’t the first time I had cardiac arrest watching NEEDLESS and it certainly won’t be the last, but this was the first time I had an orgasm watching this and the words; “I CAME!” quite accurately reflects what I feel about this episode.
Thoughts: As amazing as it sounds, the series just keeps getting better and better and learning about how long this arc is going to be just makes me look forward to what is to come. There are a lot of things they could do for this arc and no matter what they do, I am sure it will be a great success!
Continuing from where it was left off last week as Disk and Uchida was about to be horribly flattened into pancakes, they actually make it out alive thanks to Disk managing to crack the Pochi before they were crushed. Using the Pochi they then managed to sneak into the SIMEON building where Disk once again grabs to spotlight for being one of my favourite loli character this season. Hilariously enough we, the viewers, finally get to see what is underneath her dress and it turns out to be…not…as…expected but nonetheless gut busting funny. I only wish that the workers she killed rest in peace after seeing such hell…or heaven (as I would say).
Meanwhile, things aren’t going so well for Blade which came as a surprise to me. Up until now he has been a total powerhouse of ass kicking-ness and never one to go easy against an enemy but this time round, against Setsuna’s group he is totally getting bashed around like some basketball, especially since we have Mio tan here throwing galactic punches all over the place in her usual…cheerful but “I am beginning to see” creepy personality. We have seen Mio being a sadistic Yangire before but this episode just confirms the inevitable for me. I still do love Mio’s character but she has since added “psycho bitch under the guise of being cute” onto her list of roles and wow, am I scared of her now. What makes it more scary is that she is completely innocent to being evil in anyway. She is just a child with a lot of power and kills whilst laughing like a cute girl.
It was hilarious to see her life that massive bear…err I mean bunny with a single arm ready to bash Blade’’s head in from top onwards only for him to think: “OH SHIT” and “TEH FUCK!?!”.
Still I am guessing that he really can’t go all out on female enemies which lead to his butt being kicked in as we never saw him use any of his skills either. What happened to his spider thread attack (I thought he would want to “tie the girls up”, interpret that however you like) or even Setsuna’s speed or Mio’s power he copied from Arclight previously. Sheesh, he is a real big softy and thus took the pain to go with it. Although he did see heaven a few times thanks to Mio’s “power ass bomber into your face” attacks :p
But what really got me sexually excited this episode wasn’t the fact that Blade got his ass kicked (and not much so from Disk’s “who touched my ass” humour either) but because at long last, the blonde hair blade girl and psycho faced maid finally makes their official appearance into the anime while the former unleashes badass-ery onto Setsuna’s group, completely wiping them out JUDGEMENT STYLE! Oh how have I missed someone showing JUDGEMENT! whilst the enemy plunges to their deaths in the background! XD
Preview: Flashback time, here is the story of how Blade met the two girls that came to save his ass from being tentacle raped by Arclight.

Oh and Blade will find out why Setsuna’s team is called the shinigami (death god) squad soon enough
First Setsuna uses her speed to over power Blade
Then Kuchinashi immobilises him
Then comes the main course from an overly happy Mio
Blade: “This looks like it’s gonna hurt”
And Blade didn’t just fall to the ground, he flew up, bounced off the ceiling, down to the floor, then counced up again
That, looks painful D:
Oh and that big teddy? It is actually one of Mio’s weapons
“You gotta be joking me~”
“Oh shit”
Meanwhile, pochi has been recovered any is being worked on
One unlucky mechanic opened the wrong door
and got fried to a crisp
“Huh? A little girl?”
Just look at the horror on their faces
With good reason too, but one gun isn’t good enough
How about 8 guns!!! O.O
Rest in peace (oh, and no point checking the power level on this, it just broke the scouter)
And yea, Disk is burning with fury and moe! XD
Meanwhile Saten here is being warned that there are intruders by the looks of: “An old man, two kids and YO-RO-SHI-KU!”
Eh? XD
The team then escaped into the vents to avoid the guards
Suddenly Disk lets out a shocked gasp
Yamada asked what happened expecting something disasterously important
“Someone is touching my ass -____-” (yes, me again!)
Back onto the fight, you know it’s bad news when Mio stretches
Kuchinashi drugs Blade up
controlling his legs and making him run toward…
hell…or heaven
He actually says “stay away” which is rather OOC for him XD
Butt bomber to the face!!!
Yes, he now knows why they are the shinigami team
Some important information during this scene mentioned by Disk. She says that even with Uten dead, there could very well be a replacement for him already meaning that the 4 generals are still a threat. What’s more is that she has no information on the 4th general which she suspects may be the girl with the mask when Arclight appeared in episode 7.
I did mention who the masked fellow on the right was :p
“UIIII!”
Blade has never looked so battered before and…
He has now gone to a better place XD
So that is what it feels like to have a few tonnes dropped on your face, softened only by the lush buttocks of Mio’s loli butt
Bad news as the gang gets cornered
And even worse off when the rest goes through the door
This isn’t good
And after much struggle, Blade is bashed down completely
“poke poke”, Stop poking him! D:
Setsuna was about to deliver the final blow when lo and behold, some mysterious force throws them back
AIEEEEE! KITTAAAAAA!!! At long last!!! As far as my ears takes me the left girl is called “Solva” and the other is “Seto”
Oh and don’t worry about Disk and the others too
First up, Seto has the fragment; Gravity and self proclaimed death god herself

Thus the episode ends with Setsuna team being crushed by a single opponent and Yamada wonder’s who these new strong allies are. Next week! Flashback!

What happened to all the gore in this fight that was present in the manga! I was looking foward to seeing Blade puking up blood by the gallons yet all I see is a trail of blood at the corner of his mouth. So disappointed!

So I’ve been unconsciously avoiding this series since way back when you posted the screenshots for episode 2 because that sort of not-even-suggestive humor really isn’t my thing, but your review of episode 9 being simply “I came!” told me I had to at least give it a try.
Thank goodness for that. I’ve watched the first five episodes straight through (it’s 6 AM on the east coast) and I’ll finish the rest later today. It’s rather heavy on fanservice for my tastes, but I’ll manage to get through it.
Adam Blade is preposterous. This is who the anime version of Negima’s Jack Rakan needs to be modeled after.
So thanks for making me come around to this series.
As I say, only idiots would miss this out due to whatever misleading factors it initially showed (my guess is the daring ED), and especially those who enjoy this kind of atmosphere from a series
