You Would Think At This Stage In Anime’s Development That Security Teams Would Have Labelled Shouta’s And Loli’s As Class S Security Threats.

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just an old school anime fan who’s mired in his analysis of shows.  One who attempts to look at the bigger picture to such a degree that he has earned himself the label of drama whore, pathetic and flamer.  In all honesty I would rather be playing some Castlevania right now, but instead I’ve decided to do my part on the whole Code Geass R2 blogging scene tonight instead of 5 or so days from now.  That means no Macross until possibly Wednesday again, but that’s what happens when you have two shows, several games and work competing for my time.

All Those Theatrics And He Has To Do It Again?  My God Lelouch Is A Perfectionist

Actually, the high school portions only fill a small part of the episode and aren’t really as mind numbing as I would have expected.  (Well actually, seeing as how Code Geass’ writers and Sunrise in general have this Jerry Bruckheimer like ability to turn that which would normally be mundane into something almost always approaching exciting or interesting, I can’t say I expected anything to stray to far into the area of mindless high school harem comedy) Also as I suggested the episode remained completely unchanged despite the leak as would have been the obvious outcome.  The lesson here is never listen to 2ch trolls.  Now with that out of the way, let’s get cracking.

Meh….if it airs it airs, if it doesn’t it doesn’t.  If it’s changed it’s changed if it isn’t it isn’t.  Whatever comes we’ll find out then.  Until that point I trust official information over John Q. Spammer on 2ch.  Sunrise isn’t the one creating the drama though, it’s 2ch and commentators on the whole series of events.  As far as I know they haven’t even said boo yet, but then again I bet they take a lot of crap for it anyway because of one disgruntled employee since this is just the kind of thing some people will take to bash the hell out of them.  Sucks to be Sunrise these days, you just can’t catch a break.

That’s pretty much all I have to say about this right now.

No This Isn’t A Citizen Kane Scenario But Rumours Of Zero’s Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

So found myself in a bit of a pickle a couple nights ago but luckily everything is resolved now and my computer is running smooth again.  It was all just in time for Code Geass R2 as well and I even got to chuckle at all the people who tried out that Keyhole service and got nothing but lag and choppy pictures for their efforts.  That’s what you get when a whole bunch of fans are chomping at the bit for the chance to be the first (but not in reality) ones to see the latest episode of the hottest anime series on the planet right now.  You guy’s scare me….almost as much as Haruhiist’s you crazy lovable Geass fans.  I mean first place on ANN’s broken ranking list already? Well I am a Geass fan too and I decided to wait until the first subtitled episode came out (which was like less than 12 hours after the premier so it’s barely even a matter of patience as much as calm down so threads don’t have to be locked) and here I am ready to go.  So then let’s. I was chatting with somebody on ANN about the sales of Gundam 00 falling short of those of Code Geass and Gundam Seed, and it got me thinking again about the nature of Japan’s anime fans.  I came up with a formula to try to explain how Otaku view themselves and how different series sit with them in terms of whether they are desirable purchases or not.  I call it the Otaku Scoring Card Ratio and in this instance I use it with Code Geass and Gundam 00. Zomg anyone who is following with this series should already know how long that they have waited for the conclusion to the first season, and from the looks of it yes - it is going to be another WTF cliffhanger of doom.

I guess the time is right for some of you to be pulling your hair out (while I will be smashing bricks) waiting in anticipation to see how the second season will start but for now we need to see the first cliffhanger unfold. While i haven’t seen the final 2 episodes yet, screen caps has already been leaked by the lucky ones who got to see it in advance and here i bring you a glimpse of what is yet to come.
