Umineko no Naku Koro ni Translation Patch: Second release!

As we already explained on the animesuki thread, we were unfortunately struck by… some bizarre curse: starting the project that early (February/March 2008), we suffered from many delay due of the exam period but also the summer holiday.
But thanks to our support, and chronotrig’s insane speed,…

G線上の魔王 - G-Senjou no Maou - The Devil on G-String

Recently, we got nice visual novels such like Kamipani! and Chaos;Head, and this month wasn’t an exception either: Ef ~ the latter tale ~ finally got released.
However, today, I will rather present you another eroge, which deserves as much attention as the new release from Minori, if not, even more. G線上の魔王 (G-Senjou no Maou - Devil on G-String), by Akabeisoft2.

Why is that? Basically, this eroge offers a breath of air for those who are willing to adventure themselves in the “dark realm of ero” (okay people, that was a lame gentle pick on those who cannot stand some VN, for sake of containing ero stuff): Detective/thriller with well balanced action, drama and romance.
You dreamt of Death Note in a VN/eroge format? That title is fitting your expectation like a glove, however: with less crappy “KEIKAKU DORII” (or if you prefer: less incredible lame stunts of convenient expectation of either Light or L/Near), True hide-and-seek / cat & mouse games, colorful cast, drama and romance.
Of course, this is a bit exaggerated and in the end, everything will depend of your tastes. That is to say, G senjou offers a very solid and rich plot, that I will introduce to you.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Translation Patch: First release!

Before anything, here is a special point we took recently: considering our satisfying and hard working manpower here and there (be it translators, encoders etc), we decided to change slightly the release scheldule:
Instead of letting everyone down until the full patch is done, we decided to change it altogether and mimic the Onikakushi-hen type of release: Chapter by chapter, or batch by batch of chapters each time.
This has been decided like this, as the process is much longer than expected and our wish to polish and serve a translation patch as neat as possible, hence much more retranslation and editing.

that said…

Snow Sakura (Visual Novel)

So, what is an anime fan that suffers from major boredom issues to do when he doesn’t feel like any new series and all the abominations in PC games need a rest from the beating you have been dishing out ? Simple - get your hands on one of the Visual Novels that have lingered on your “to do” list forever and get cracking. Snow Sakura was not all that familiar title to me and the OP didn’t seem all that catchy either, so i was not sure what to expect. In the end i can say this: even though some aspects of the story could have been handled better, this turned out to be one of my most enjoyable experiences recently with top notch humor and some commendable characters.
