How long has it been eh……..
Number 11: Eve From Black Cat
Alluring Quality 10/10: There’s little way around it, Eve is almost designed to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible, whether it’s the dreaded long blonde hair with red eyes that worked for Fate Testarossa, the gothic lolita outfit with long black stockings, or just plain turning into a Mermaid and showing off the midriff, Eve is damn hot!
Callousness 3/10: Here’s where she lose points however. Despite being trained to be a cold blooded killer with no remorse, she executes this function once, finds she hates it and has Sven Vollfied free her from a life that is just not in her nature. After that she tries hard to use non lethal means to dispose of her enemies, despite the fact she is more than capable of skewering most of them 80 times over before they hit the ground. She scores a little for the first few chapters in which she appears, but after that she’s basically like Aerith from FFVII.
Power 10/10: Eve simply put is borderline immortal. Her body is enhanced with Nanomachines that allow her to turn any part of herself into almost any given shape or substance (such as metal or sharp objects) and can even block a bullet with her stomach. Furthermore she can thus also fly, swim with ease as a mermaid, and heal from fatal wounds in a few hours. She’s the ultimate Bioweapon that were it not for the fact that she needs to rest after using her powers for an extended period, would be unstoppable if on a rampage.
Lolidom 6/10: And just because she isn’t callous doesn’t mean she can’t be overbearing. Whenever Train steps out of line she likes to wake him with a hair hammer, and she’s constantly trying to one up Train wherever possible and to rub it in his face when she does. She’s also dry as hell, and smarter than most of the adult members of Sven and Trains crew, wasting no opportunity to humiliate the less than knowledgable Train. In her fight with her destined opponent, the shot of her standing over her utterly defeated slightly older male opponent is a testament to her superiority. I’d say she get’s about 6 points. Oh and she’s also the one to drain the nanomachines from the manga’s last boss as he looks helplessly on. If that ain’t Lolidom I don’t know what is.
Loliness 8/10: She sure likes that Ice Cream and to dress up in Gothic Lolita. She definitely has a petite frame as well, not to say it detracts from any of her strength though. On the other hand, she’s much more mature than the average little girl (which goes for most lolis in anime frankly). I’d say a solid 8/10 in this category.
Overall 37/10: Eve’s a force to be reckoned with, who were it not for her relatively gentle nature, would probably be in the top 10. She’s still one of my favourite Loli characters though, and among the most easy on the eyes. I also like the fact that she’s so ridiculously powerful as to be able to have limitless potential.
Next time we enter the top 10. These will be the cream of the crop I’ve found, some may change on the fly, most will probably remain the same. I’ll need to check to see. I also can’t guarantee when the next entry will be out, but hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.
