Right into the valley of happiness!
Yep, you heard me…and I think that Nori deserved every bit of punishment he recieved from Yomi just because he is an annoying jerk who can’t see true beauty even when forced under his nose, just go back to your ferret pals why don’t you? >.>
Better yet, it seems like Iwahata has a thing for him too as well as Kazu (fufufufu~ Iwahata is much more of a playboy than ferret boy *rolleyes*).
Thoughts: I am surprised that this episode was mainly “fluff” compared to the previous one. What is even more surprising is that I enjoyed this episode more than expected when hearing about what happens in it beforehand. There were moments in this episode where I really laughed out loud (most of the times being WAKAMOTO Nabu twins XD), and others where it was just plain entertainment to watch…like how Nori continued to dig himself a grave.
In a nutshell, this episode was basically about the bickering pair that is Yomi and Nori, who ironically is soon to be wed. So with the whole “husband and wife” arguments going even before they are formally married, it is as clear as day that this relationship they have is as brittle as glass. And so, this episode is about how meddling Kagura can really be by trying to play cupid when we all know that it is just the antics of a bored, naive little girl.
But even though I dislike Kagura as a character, I still have to admit that this was a pretty interesting episode. One of the highlights being how Kagura pestered everyone to follow with her plan only to find that their worries are not because they have to threaten Yomi, but rather their own lives being threatened by her spiritual beast. So it is back to the drawing board with that idea.
Surprisingly, the director also decided to join this little game of cupid which caused so much trouble for her poor secretary. Poor Kiri-chan indeed. Though the outcomes of that scene were truely hilarious so in this case I can accept some sacrifice at least.
At this point I really feel that Yomi and Nori can’t have a happy end together, in fact I thought that I had everything figured out as to why Yomi could so easily kill Nori in the future even though it was revealed that they were engaged. But what made it confusing was when Yomi and Nori met at the dead of night and seemingly patched up their wavering relationship again with a sweet kiss. So that pretty much destroys my theory on them which leaves me to just conclude that they are in a strictly “love-hate” relationship. Yare, yare…so much trouble over nothing huh? It’s things like these that make a relationship sound unappealing.
Well now that all the fluff is talked about, I can also mention the “important” things that happened in this episode. It seems like beneath all the happy everyday moments, we have a traitor on out hands which is deeply rooted in the Isayama family itself. And if I don’t know any better one of the events which will contribute to Yomi falling into darkness would be centered around the hand over of the inheritance.
The story here is quite typical…but what keeps things interesting is that the evil plotting isn’t from an old man being the younger brother of the head, oh no…instead, it is so much better to have his daughter doing the evil deeds. With this at least there is a cat fight or something similar to look forward to between Yomi and Mei (who is surprisingly attractive…damn this series for their character designs but my loyalty still lies with Natsuki ;___; ).
Screen caps and “wise guy” comments:
I think you are better off going for an option 2
LOL, just wait until you are burnt and bitch slapped :p
Yomi? wearing perfume? it must be a special date
Tsundere Yomi is cute too
But the jackass over here has to ruin the sweet mood
Just look at the “death” he gave to the room, carry on digging your grave
Just carry on digging…
Further and further…
During this scene I so wanted to yell out “MEGAA MEGAA~” (Seto ref for those who know ^^)
Quite amusing here how she managed to pour water over the fire without it exploading
Yep, damn these old people who think that blood is thicker than bonds
oh, so there is a twist in this inheritance thing afterall
Mei looks rather…hot?
Whereas Kagura is naive as ever…
Nabu is smarter than you think huh
YES! I SUPPORT THIS PAIRING!
Some evil plotting is going on
Yikes! what would you do in such a situation?
Oh no she isn’t…she is about to snap
Here it comes…
But dude, you never slap a woman!
Or you will be flying off your feet
Though after all that has happened, I am surprised that we get such a scene…
