Wow, the title for this week has gotten deeper yet again and I’m having difficulties trying to think of something to say about it myself. The title certainly tries to link up time with the development of relationships and for Touya, time is certainly running out. Asides from the time running out to help Misaki creating those play props (though he later conveniently forgets about the whole business and preoccupies himself with something else *coughs*; leaving poor Misaki to fend for herself), time is also running out for him to patch things up with Yuki since by now he understands how much he would be holding back Yuki if continues this relationship, or rather, Eiji doesn’t give him much of a choice to think otherwise.
As for the latter part of the title…I wonder that myself since I can’t see Touya doing anything different from what he has been doing previously. He still avoided Yuki, he still did odd jobs and he still brought a present for Rina’s birthday; as you would expect him to have done so normally. This question really caused me to scratch my head and it is still up in the air for interpretation.
Starting right from the top we have Eiji spinning his “evil” plan again to get Touya to break up with Yuki. In a way I do feel sorry for Touya firstly since he is being cornered and pressured by this nutcase to give up on Yuki and secondly because he doesn’t know the full truth behind Eiji’s persistance nor his motives for doing so. Well that is soon to change as Rena reveals it all to the viewers but at this point Touya is rightfully the victim under the terror of some rich and powerfully manipulative bastard; not to mention a nutcase.
Or I say victim but it is comments like these from him that annoys me into thinking “serves him right” when it comes to Eiji’s pressure. From my perspective it feels as if, for him, Yuki being Yuki other than his goddess of the day is a bad thing, or is it that his standards are too high; not that he is anything special in the first place. It seems rather disrespectful to a person in general since he is implying that he no longer feels that same about his girlfriend because she has become a usual occurance, or as he puts it later, he sees Yuki as natural as breathing air. Now THAT is harsh…and rather inhumane, since why can’t he just give up on her if he isn’t at all that attracted to her anyway? But he probably feels a lot better in his own little protective bubble…
No, it is not Mana who is being molested
But Haruka and her padded chests
Back onto more serious matters Rina begins to explain the situation with herself, her brother and Yuki and I found that the oppening description of Eiji quite fitting for his actual character, well he is just missing the mirror and sparkles to be complete.
But with this it has become quite clear that Eiji is quite a broken person himself. In the worse case he could be called a maniac but that will only happen if he actually kills someone. Seriously though, with this I think it has become clear when he looks at Yuki this way and it is because he has a complex for imperfection. As Rina explains after reaching the height of his own growth, he became bored of life and you know the usual drill with bored and rich people, the want to find new toys to play with and for Eiji he enjoyed watching other people change…
That is where his first victim, Rina, came in as it seems like he forced his own sister into the singing business just to satisfy his own bordem. Right now I have an urge to call the police on his mad ass
Used and then dumped…poor Rina chan ;_______; (I am beginning to wonder if she will also show some kind of disorder later on from being neglected)
Yea…as you can see Eiji is having rhythmic orgasms listening to Yuki’s poor attempts at singing…he is crazy I tell ya!
And after hearing all of that dark past this was all Touya could say after being asked about how he felt about Yuki. As you’ve guessed I boiled up at this point and I wondered whether leaving Yuki to the hands of Eiji would be better for her or not. Well not until Touya changes for the better as I believe that normal people would get the slightest big angry about hearing another man using your girlfriend for his own means like that. As I’ve said, their love/bond is very shallow.
As for Rina, the poor girl wants some love and Touya doesn’t know anything at all. I think Rina was just captivated by him ever since he called her his goddess…even knowing that it is just smooth talk from Touya and he says it to a lot of girls *rolleyes* But in a way Rina has lived a very sheltered life under the control of her brother, it isn’t unnatural to think that she has no friends are all (and since we haven’t seen anyone like that it certainly seems to be the case) so for someone to call her a goddess…this was the very first experience of its kinda and she naturally fell for curiosity and later for Touya. The reason why she doesn’t want him to call her a goddess anymore…
Is because you never know when she will turn into the devil…and that means she has thought about taking Touya for herself and betraying Yuki. I think it would be less painful for her later on if Touya is just prepared to think that maybe she isn’t the perfect angel that the thought she was. Rina knows fully well himself that she may have to act if she falls for Touya more yet she just can’t help bring herself away from him…love being a complex thing that it is, the more you resist the stronger it gets.
So rather than a direct approach, Rina chooses to be indirect
Meanwhile, after saving Haruka’s ass Mana reveals that she actually regards Touya as her onii chan…in a very tsundere way
Haruka sure picked up the fact that she was talking about Touya…just look at her eyes; they look like the eyes of a killer D:
But after having a heartfilled chat with Mana, Haruka had this strange dream. I guess the guy in her dream is her brother but why was he crying? And what did the sudden flash of light mean?
Even more so why was it Mana’s face who showed up holding a flash light? Although there is a lot of mystery surrounding this dream scene I can’t help but thing that it signifies a lot of changes for Haruka. Maybe because of the chat with Mana, Haruka feels as if she is the ray of light/hope that can help her with forgetting the past, that is the death of her brother (cheesy I know…but it strangely fits).
Haruka’s secondary occupation is a ninja
And being totally out of place with the current season it seems like it is november for the story in White Album, and that means that Rina’s birthday is coming up thick and fast. But what is really surprising is that Touya is actually breaking his back to go buy Rina a present…and we all know about his financial position right now. I suppose this is what you call being too much of a good guy but then again it could just be a friendly gesture…
Though yet again, Touya sure knows how to treat Yuki…his girlfriend…who should be higher on the priority list than Rina. But it doesn’t look like he gives a blind care to Yuki anymore…for crying out loud just end the relationship already…
A flashback of their bond
The first set of inner thoughts dealing with Misaki made me laugh hard here
It is as if Misaki is being compared to being so much better than the sharp tongued Mana
Misaki herself in the end didn’t do much at all nor did she get much screentime. I think this pretty much means that her part is done until she completely breaks down next time round under the pressure to go seeking love from Touya. Though she did answer the damn phone which was from Yuki (at long last) but I don’t think Yuki would appreciate hearing the voice of another woman staying at Touya’s house when Touya hasn’t gone to see her once himself.
And there you have it…time running out…the more you do…same for love
Or is it? Since Touya has clearly been neglecting Yuki for such a long time (I just can’t stress this enough)
Oh and what is an episode without MY goddess for the day, Yayoi herself. And are those fanboy letters? WHO HAS THE GUTS TO HIT ON THE WOMAN I HAVE MY EYES ON!
Not surprisingly though, ice queen Yayoi promptly throws all the rubbish into the bin…and once again her voice is so damn sexy~
And under the shadows, Eiji is doing some shit stirring again to cause more drama for his enjoyment…Rina is going to get the shaft for Yuki and I can’t see this ending well
But before that more drama at present time since Touya brings his present to Rina on her birthday not taking notice of the fact that Yuki works at the same damn place and so never expected to meet her at such an awkward timing. Like a deer caught in head lights, Touya is busted and speechless…naturally he doesn’t have an excuse to tell Yuki why he hasn’t seen her for so long as we all know well enough that Touya is just an idiot…
Shellshocked might be another term to use for him
And I do wonder if he has taken in anything at all that Rina had told him in the past about Eiji and herself since the following inner thoughts are nonsense if you put even a little thought into it.
Because she works there
Because Rina perfection is being shafted for Yuki’s imperfection thanks to Eiji’s desires
And since Touya broke his promise to Yayoi (the very same promise he said he wouldn’t be tied down under a few episodes back)
I want the punishment instead ;_____;, please punish meee~
Here is where I am really honest; “Touya you lucky bastard!”
And his reply to Misaki? OH SHIT!…I need to kill…
