And with the drama this week further increasing another 100% (oh how I can’t wait to watch Touya cross that final line…to hell), I am rather glad that the metaphoric title this time round isn’t all that hard to decode, whether it is the right or wrong way to look at it is up to you. Basically the title here says two things about the episode and I think they are rather fitting descriptions for Misaki and Touya’s actions this time round. For Misaki, her scenario that she set up for Touya seemed to work like a charm, if not too good and while it seemed all “nonsense” to Touya (or so we are lead to believe), I am pretty sure that he knows fully well how Misaki feels about him…yet the scenario in his mind (where he got Misaki to go out with Akira) utterly failed…to the point where he destroys everything and ends the scene with the cruelest method possible; by kissing her…
Although that is the last part of the episode and it wouldn’t be very nice of me to skip everything up to then, however uneventful the episode was…
The episode starts off calm enough with the hard work of Misaki and Touya paying off at last…well…almost…
The president of this club really is no good at all and I do wonder why Misaki doesn’t just quit and laugh at them for screwing themselves over since Misaki quitting would be the last thing they would think that she would do, but since that she doesn’t have that intention I can only conclude that Misaki is a maso…
The inner thoughts always tell the truth
“Hey, are you listening to me?”
And as I mentioned before, this episode really was the pick out of the rest for being uneventful. I think the problem lies in how the episode was structured or the plain lack of since it felt that it was jumping around more that normal; not to mention how little thought is generated from the events that happened this time round, it was pretty straight forward. A part of the blame also goes to Misaki for being the unfortunate “crap character” that the series never wanted and I can’t put my finger on it, but whenever I see her in action the atmosphere tends to dull down a lot. But getting out of that rant, we have Touya here carrying on with his life as usual…although it is easy to see that he is exhausted (naturally with his type of personality).
Well…at least it shows that he isn’t interested in lolis…
But what the heck are you doing Mana! I should have expected this stubbon tsundere to fall for Touya without him even lifting a finger >.>
Yes you really are for falling for someone like him
And she really believes that Haruka is Yuki
Meanwhile, the real Yuki is enjoying her fame as a rising star even though she doesn’t actually sing…which begs the question “why the heck were you put on stage if you weren’t going to sing!?!” I certainly hope that this unprofessional act to generate hype doesn’t happen in real life, otherwise they should be ashamed of themselves! Asides from this question I did also wonder why the heck Touya isn’t to be seen anywhere…I mean this IS the same collage festival that Misaki has been preparing for, right? Really, Touya’s ignorance knows little bounds.
What a crap excuse
I wonder how significant this news would be? Gut feeling tells me that it will be knocking Rina off from the charts
Meanwhile Touya, although he did miss Yuki, he did bump into another familiar face and oh boy, can I dare say that this is some serious MINUS man points for Akira. It is as if he has gotten so far into his emo depression about not being noticed by Misaki, he has now reached enlightenment and has gone celibate. Real cool dude…
“Tu quoque” on your soul too
Denial has always been the way since past times
And this is where the weird part for Touya begins as we are suddenly forced into a flashback where time and space warps and nothing made sense. Heck does this mean that Touya’s head is so confused that he really doesn’t understand whether he loves Yuki or not…granted that they’ve not had one scene where they’ve had a nice, relaxing chat. But this scene was proof that Touya could have worked out that Yuki would be at the festival if given just a bit of thought into it but decided otherwise…it just shows how much he really cares for her at this point or does he have some disorder which prevents him from expressing himself.
Mind rape confusing scene
I don’t know what the heck he is saying but he seems to be yelling something to Yuki who is in her apartment(?) ~ could this be another metaphor where it shows Touya’s mental state as his words aren’t reaching to Yuki since she is very, very far away
I really want to kill this bastard
Back to the festival, Touya wanted to watch the play but unfortunately the president won’t let Misaki have such an enjoyment and bans her from sitting in the front. I seriously don’t know why this guy is so nasty to Misaki so I hope this gets cleared up. Chances are that he is a rapist or something and Misaki kicked him in the nuts thus ending his man hood which is why he wants her to see hell.
This sounds like an adventure
And if Misaki has anything to say to that she, like a lot of people seen in anime, have one or two secret hiding places they can go to.
Such child-like innocence…for an adult
But it seems like Misaki has other things (dark things) in mind
Not like this idiot is smart enough to pick it up
But I must say that this scene did good to bring back the “good ol'” times for the characters as they talk about how innocent they all were back then. It also shows that Misaki is fully aware that Touya was strictly off limits to her since being friends with Yuki and all, I guess this is where the unrequited love comes in. Undoubtly, Misaki got the short end of the stick but she is just about as bad as Touya so giving her sympathy is rather difficult.
Touya, stop misleading the poor girl
I said stop!
Meanwhile, Akira is preaching about the joys of being single
With Touya being so blunt in his approach I am not at all surprised that Misaki tried to run off the way she did. I suspect that she did know about Akira’s feelings for her but while her love for Touya was unrequited, the irony here comes when Akira is in the exact same position as her. I think based on personality they make a great couple!
God was evil and punished Misaki’s neglect with falling iron pipes of doom ~ I am rather shocked that Touya didn’t act as a shield for her (he is not a man! D: )
And so Misaki lets out all her thoughts in the form of a play script…how original. It was clear as day that Misaki was talking about herself, Touya and Yuki and while I believe that Touya had a hunch what she was on about, he preferred to not lose a friend like Misaki. But this isn’t the time to be so considerate and especially with everyone listening on you and what…the…heck…was this…
At this point my mind was blow away to what the heck is Touya thinking…as it makes completely no sense at all. I suppose since Yayoi forced herself onto him he had some sort of excuse but this time it was the other way round, and he even proclaimed that he loved Misaki? Touya’s heart is undoubtly fickle but oh come on…this is really ridiculous…
Are you ready to take the punishment?
Holy crap! It is GOD!
Personally I was expecting him to say “are you my master?” given the atmosphere
Exodus ~ Touya is really just a kid
