Japan Expo 2011: Gems digged up from dirt of mediocrity. Impressions, Loot and more

It certainly has been a very long while I didn’t make any blog post, hasn’t it?
Quite a familiar sentence isn’t it? Well I guess this kind of post once in a while is always fine, so long I enjoy doing them. Anyway folks, this is yet again a little report of what I’ve been doing at the Japan Expo of this year.

Content: description of my little adventure during 4 days at Japan Expo (France, Paris, Parc des Expositions), goodsmile company booth, tsubameyado, loot and many more. Also, I’ve got my camera this time!

Japan Expo 2010: When Hell meets Heaven. Impressions, Loot and more

It certainly has been a very long while I didn’t make any blog post, hasn’t it?
I feel a bit guilty about that considering all the crap I had to take care of, for like a full year, but I guess this event should be at least covered.

Content: description of my little adventure during 3 days at Japan Expo (France, Paris, Parc des Expositions), conference with Tamura Yukari and Mishima Akio about Magical Girl Nanoha The Movie 1st, loot and many more.

Kara no Kyoukai 4: The Hollow

*Stops rocking back and forth in a corner* It is here! *cough*
With the painstakingly long wait (at least for me) over, we can finally enjoy the fourth movie of this high quality production by ufotable. While overall it doesn’t offer as much action as many no doubt would like to see, it certainly doesn’t fail to deliver in the other aspects more than making up for that ‘loss’, as well as filling us in with the missing piece of timeline – what transpired after the events of movie 2. This one picks up where the second movie left off – Shiki just having suffered in a traffic accident after having chased Kokuto out on the road.

Blast from the past ~ Origin: Spirits of the Past

Imagine a world where nature isn’t passive…a world where the trees fought back against deforestation, controlled the water supplies and actually turned humans into slaves to do their own bidding. You probably would think that such a world is scary to live in and let me just say one thing; it damn right is. Origin: spirits of the past is a story which focuses on such a world and how humanity is being pushed to the brink by Mother Nature (okay, you can minus the “turning into slaves part” as that was just a joke).

Scoopu scoopu! ~ Nanoha is getting a movie!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Yes this isn’t a lie and quite possible one of the biggest news this summer (For a Fate chan fan like me anyway). According to Moonphase the movie will be set for early 2009 (meaning the winter 2009 block) and is supposidly going to be a remake of the first Nanoha series (covering how Nanoha and Fate chan met etc).

Batman: The Dark Knight He Now Is

Wow, I just got home from seeing Batman: The Dark Knight, and it’s the first time I’ve been to the theatre in about 5 years because it just hasn’t been worth it for a long time.  This movie however is definitely worth it and it will keep you both on the edge of your seat and work your brain as well.  I can only think of one nitpick to say about it and that’s that Rachel Dawes character was more of a plot device then anything to move along the key characters of Wayne and Dent, but Harvey Dent and The Joker’s modern intepretations have social implications reaching down to the very core of just about everything we think we know about ourselves.
