You may kill him now ^^
OMFG! This episode was just the bomb of all NEEDLESS episodes seen so far. Not only was the quality of the episode top notch, drop dead gorgeous with all the glowing blood, pantsu shots and epic faces, but the story once again continues to surprise me with the way it turns the table over and over again. Once again I have to give this episode a rating of “I CAME!” for its sheer awesomeness XD
Thoughts: Pretty much the perfect episode, if there is anything wrong with this series in general is the amount of sloppy artwork from time to time but that problem was just none existent in this episode which just makes it completely perfect and the icing on the cake. They really didn’t hold back on the gore at all and I just love the bucket loads of red paint they decide to splash all over the screen with each scene. Gido unsurprisingly turns out to be an individual behind the ADAM PROJECT but what was surprising (in a hilarious, cringe worthy way) was that he possesses more of an indestructible body than Blade himself XD
Not only that…he is one hell of a batshit insane MANIAC when he was trying to stall Setsuna’s group with enough time for Yamada to collect Kurumi’s body. I didn’t get even a quarter of the stuff he was sprouting out and even before that I just laughed my ass off at his skinny structure trying to hold back the enemy who took out Blade and Co. It was certain death for him but then again, the quality of this series is that no clichéd comedy side character will be dying any time soon.
Saten finally makes his official appearance in the most GAR way possible as his chest must be broader than a tank and his sheer presence literally freezes the battlefield for enemies and comrades alike. Now that is what I call intense and he just sets himself up as one of my most eager to see boss fights, I want to see him taking someone out with that insane look he’s got!
Well anyway, Saten really helped the group out in his own way by kicking Kurumi’s body to Blade where he was able to copy Black Attraction to free Eve from the clutches of SIMEON. Setsuna and her group then landed in a whole world of hurt but while I felt a bit sorry for Mio and (more for) Kuchinashi, I was really happy that Setsuna got a damn bitch slappin’ and a half. Her personality has officially pissed me off with that “cool calculating arrogance” and an ass kicking to the face for her is just what the doctor ordered. Annoying bitch *rolleyes*
Blade finally awakens and with that totally destroyed Setsuna’s group with his knowledge of different abilities. You gotta just love how he used Gravitation with just enough strength to have Mio’s butt sit on his face XD
But oh come on…you really wouldn’t expect Setsuna’s group to die and pretty sure, they are all roaches for coming back again and again…and just now Kuchinashi talked and released her final attack which KO’ed everyone (oh shit…here we go again…). How many episodes has it been focused on this one room now? Still, I love it to bits HAHAHAHA! 😀
And all the usual trimmings also came with the episode. I laughed at the comedy, drooled at the countless fanservice shots (most noticeable for me here was Disk going completely naked and Eve’s Seiyuu doing the most hair raising and erotic scream heard to date) and cheered for the GAR. There just isn’t any stopping NEEDLESS from steam rolling any other series for entertainment value and next week is going to be another blast judging the preview!
Preview: Yamada’s sister is back! I bet you didn’t see that coming.
Screen caps and Comments:
And picking up from where we left off, here are the casualties
“Zetsuboushitaaaaa!”
And the first thing you will notice here is that the animation looks even better than ever
Yamada may have give up but Disk has one more ace up her sleeves to reveal
Saten being a cool badass
Finally Gido is revealed to be someone involved with the ADAM PROJECT (and he suddenly looked a lot cooler)
It also turns out that Blade’s fragment can copy abilities actively…
And also in a passive manner
Setsuna needs to stop touching mai Eve >.>
So the plan is to grab Kurumi’s body and input her ability directly into Blade
Meanwhile, Disk will be trying to get Blade to wake up (although I don’t know why he doesn’t jump already having such a delicious cake mounting him :D)
Undressing too!! WOHOO
“ZOMG IT’S A TRAP!”
So it is operation time for Blade
“Muda no koto…”
And being the great man that Gido is, he charges in head on to delay their advance
Not impressed at all
“THOU SHALL NOT PASS!”
And I couldn’t get a word what he says here
*Snap*
This just crosses the line for me
Seems like I’m not the only one who feels that way either
Meanwhile Yamada is getting closer to the corpse
But look who came down from above
Instant brick shitting XD
And now you see him
*Gasp*
Now you don’t
Apparently, Saten is very good with scaring people shitless XD
Poor Kuchinashi ;___;
Luckily for the beautiful girls, Saten sama will give them a second chance
Although by kicking Kurumi towards Blade I know he isn’t entirely on SIMEON’s side
Beautiful girl squad attacks!
Nooooooo Mai Diskkkkk! ;___;
She has boobs? O.o..
“It’s the end”
…Or is it?
Blade just revived like the phoenix
Poor Kurumi being thrown about like trash here
Eve attacks!
But it gets single handedly stopped by Blade GAR style
MMM Blood ^^
“Black attraction activate!”
Eve’s painful scream here gives me goosebumps for some reason :3
Bang! and she is back to normal again
Welcome back Eve…missed you ;___;
But Blade is still a wreck with the hole in his chest
Good thing Eve is also a healer for the group
Meanwhile Setsuna initiates a sneak attack
But she seems to have forgotten that Eve is invincible as she is right now
And pwnage happens ^^
Yes bitch! cry >.>
This shot actually reminds me of Toradora
Fetching clothes as always, wonder why she doesn’t fix it already (not that I’m complaining)
Oh I’m also getting Soul Eater vibes here XD
So I guess this is the final fight
A cheeky Gravitation attack from Blade
Yay!
But suddenly…Kuchinashi talked (OMGGG!)
But it’s too late already
And everyone gets KO’ed (facepalm)
Good night~
Yes, this was pretty much another awesome ep. It was also a lot funnier than the previous two eps. I loved the part where Gido tried to stall the killergirls. Disc had some good moments too. The part where she opened her torso to have some more “tentacles” working on Blade was cool. I was actually curious how they’d do it compared to the manga. It was more impressive in the manga, but this looked good too.
The best news of course is ep 13 isn’t the last one! I think this will become a 26ep serie when looking how far the manga has progressed.
Next ep will be even more awesome. I GUARANTEE IT! Ps. I finally managed to watch this ep before you wrote your review 🙂
This point is not up for debate: the best part of the episode was the fact that there was a preview for episode 14. That totally made my week.
The first half of the episode was just very grindy. It seems they could have done in 3 minutes what they did in 12.
Positives: Blood, blood, and buckets of blood.
Blade’s “interesting” use of Seto’s gravitation fragment
Setsuna getting part of what’s coming to her (I’m feeling the same way)
Kuchinashi just being herself.
Huzzah for more than 13 episodes.
@taruppu ~ And I suspect you will do so next week too since I have just started Uni again and hell does it take up a lot of my free time (which usually means going out, getting trashed XD).
More impressive in the manga eh, I was actually more impressed with Disk’s bare chest 😀
And I could have sworn I knew for certain that this would be a two cour series in the first place so not much of a surprise for me there heh. But HURRAY! Nonetheless 😉
@Anise Punter ~ The preview sure throws out a lot of questions here. Why is Arclight and Saten tied up? Why was Yamada in with the shot standing next to Arclight? and Why is nee-san still alive and looking evil?
*head pops*
But it did feel just a tad slow in places. Not much of a big deal since we are moving along now 🙂
The only thing I don’t like about Needless is the lack of hentai material to be found of it 🙂 It can’t be the lack of female characters.
I found this Needless vol0-II with a couple of stories we’ve already seen in the anime(looks like the anime department didn’t come up with it themselves afterall) and some new ones. They chronologically all happened before the point of where we’re at in the anime and even if you don’t understand written japanese it’s amusing to skip through. It has an extremely funny Kuchinashi moment in at which by itself is worth reading it.
I’ll just include the link for anyone interested.

Why aren’t there summary for 14 and 15.
It is so confusing not understanding what is going on. It just leave with more question then answer.
Yea I’m sorry guys it’s been a hell of a busy week(s) for me and I am struggling to watch most of what I wanted to this season yet let alone blog about them. Summaries for episode 15 is under way, I’ll probably just skip episode 14 since that is already subbed.
It’s Okay. I know you have a life and that there are stuff you want to do and such. No rush. Sorry if I sound demanding.
Setsuna crying when Eve squeezed her was hot. I came!
Same for 8th to last pic where Eve is standing. Not just her clothes, but how she is standing… I came 😀
