Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Episode 24 : Matsuribayashi-hen 11, Oshimai [END]

Since clannad summaries are finely cought up, it is time to work a bit on higurashi… Analysis 24 is on way, while BGM for 23 are uploaded.

• The episode starts straight with Akasaka who is accelerating like mad. As the bazooka soldier is preparing to open fire, a sniper shot hits his shoulder, incapacitating him immediately.
  As the men in the van realizes this, they pick up their automatic weapons and aims for the engine. However, it looks like the front of the car is somewhat bulletproof. It is too late and the car push through the barrage.
  The sniper cover was Kasai who was patiently firing at his targets while Shion says a snarky comments. As the soldiers try to chase them, Kasai prevents them to do so, by firing at their tires.

• Tomitake is in Okinomiya, calling the investigation cell at a public phone booth. After his report, Tomitake orders the dispatching of the Banken unit in urgency.
  Tomitake is done and Akasaka wonders how effective the Banken is. and Tomitake assures him they will surely lockdown the yamainu.
  Then Akasaka wonders what they will do, since everyone else is currently fighting right now. Akasaka has a promise and wants to go back, since Rika is waiting for him, despite it might be dangerous to try to come back. Tomitake understands and will come as well, since he “has something to do”. Akasaka is puzzled by his last comment.

• Okonogi and his 4 men are dashing on a slope. As he is contacting his other platoon, the dead silence makes him stop. His men join him, but they are quite exhausted by the long run. Okonogi says it is enough and his men can go back to the truck. They understand and they get back.
  Takano is angry and don’t get what Okonogi is doing. The later is laughing and says it doesn’t matter anymore. Takano sees Rika and her friends. She orders okonogi to seize them, but Okonogi is annoyed and tells her to shut up.

• Okonogi is facing the club members and declares himself as Okonogi of the Yamainu. He would like to know their leader and their name. Mion makes few steps and announces herself as the President, Sonozaki Mion. Okonogi declares the victory is theirs, which obviously makes Takano completely puzzled about that. Okonogi explains some stuff about Tomitake, but Takano doesn’t understand much and still want to capture them. Okonogi stops her, extending his arm, and begins to compliment Mion, as they sure gave them lots of troubles to a delta force.

• Upon hearing this, Mion is laughing out loud and they are the elite force of Hinamizawa, and she begins to announce their names: Magician of Words Maebara Keiichi, Kaii mode Ryuugu Rena, Trap master Houjou Satoko, the tanuki furude rika and finally (believer?) Furude Hanyuu.
  Okonogi is very amused by this and begins to laugh out lourd. Takano is pissed and tells him to terminate her, as she is the leader of their enemy.
  Okonogi stops and says it can’t be helped that the battle is done, but since he received an order of the princess herself…
  He then picks up his gun and aims at Mion.

• Suddenly, a chopper is making its entrance in the sky, with a soldier announcing the irie institute crew is ordered to surrender now, as they are the banken.
  Okonogi lowers his arm and begins to walk off. Takano says it isn’t over yet and follows Okonogi.
  Some soldiers gets out of the chopper with a rope. Satoko is collasping, wondering if everything is over. Rika doesn’t know as this situation never happened before. Suddenly, Akasaka calls out her name, which dealt her a very powerful emotional impact.
  She jumps towards him and leans to him, crying. she is relieved that he is safe as well. Akasaka then tells them that Irie and the others are fine as well.

• The yamainu men are taken under custody by the banken, and Akasaka explains they already took care of “the boy”.
  Satoko wonders who he is talking about while Rika is relieved, saying it is good news for her, but the trap master is puzzled.
  Then, Keiichi wonders where is hanyuu and she isn’t there anymore though Rena was sure she was there not long ago.

• Okonogi and Takano are somewhere in the forest. She wants his explanations as she didn’t get what was that fuss. Okonogi explains that the banken made its entrance and goes further about their skills etc. Takano wonders how they could go there, and Okonogi explains it is because of Tomitake.
  Okonogi receives a radio transmission of one of his subordinates and it looks like they have to surrender considering the situation. Okonogi understands and orders them to do no resistance etc.

• Takano still yell it isn’t over yet especially with the support of “nomura” so they can’t let Rika alive, but Okonogi raises his voice, saying they cannot win this game anymore. He then begins to say the utter truth and she can die already. Takano doesn’t understand and he throws away her precious documents of her grandfather. Okonogi doesn’t care of her stuff at all. Takano says it is (her?) future, but Okonogi claims no one believes in that. He reveales Tokyo doesn’t care about that, but they were awaiting for the conflict resulting because of this.

• He then gives her a gun with only one bullet loaded. She doesn’t understand and he explains about her clients etc.
  takano cannot believe all of this, she isn’t able to do so and begins to weep even more. Okonogi also adds it was also from Nomura.
  Takano is freaked out and begins to scratch her throat. Okonogi is then shooting around her, going further in his explanations while Takano is completely afraid and then runs away

• The banken took Okonogi into custody but they are still looking for Takano. Speaking of which, she is running, but she then trips. It is then raining.
  While crying, takano can barely walks, and claims she cannot die now, while scratching her throat.

• Hanyuu appears under her god form. She would like to know about Takano.
  Takano just “wanted to live a happy life”, having flashbacks of her life before, during and after her parents accidents.As she is looking at her gun, she is wondering if it isn’t the way to atone her sins.Hanyuu says several things about forgiveness, and she will do that for Takano, but the later says it is impossible. Rika and her friends found Hanyuu and Takano snaps a bit, quite amused they are there for the very end.

• she is then pointing at them with her gun, asking Mion to make few steps forward if she doesn’t want her friends being shot down. Mion does so.
  Even though she is “forgiven”, she can’t let things like that as it is too painful. She completely lost it.
  Mion extends her arms and wants her friends to stay behind her. Mion doesn’t falter and declares she won’t let her friends exposed by her folly. Takano is completely nuts and sarcasticly says “how scary”.

• Everyone is concerned, but Mion asks them to not move, as she is the president and she would be happy to protect them like this. Takano is amused and wants if they would like to bet. [can’t figure more, it is about game and sacrifice]

• Hanyuu compliments Mion and stands between them and Takano. It is enough and she will take the relay. Rika is shocked, while Hanyuu reverts her “auau” voice and says she had enough fun with everyone. She then defies Takano to shot. Takano is pissed and shots. The bullet is however deflected.
  Takano is speechless and collapses.

• Frederica then says some solemn speech, that it wasn’t a game and such. Hanyuu is puzzled by that.

• The banken soldiers arrive and they are going to take her into custody. She only laments herself and begins to scratches her throat. 2 soldiers are taking her by the arms but she begins to freaks out, as she want to retrieve her grandfather’s scrapbook.

• Suddenly, Tomitake arrives and stops them, pointing them her obvious signs of further level of the syndrome. Under their juridisction, Tomitake declares that the colonel irie will take care of her.
  As he is kneeling before Takano, the later is completely struck by her emotions and screams.

• Rika is looking at the sky, and today is the watanagashi festival.

• At night, Mion is trying to get her hands on a big bear, but she isn’t able to do so. As keiichi is making fun of her, he is obviously punished.
  They suddenly hear the gong, and everyone dash towards the shrine for the ceremony.

• Afterwards they are taking part of the cotton driffting ceremony at the river. Shion joins them.

• The next day, Hanyuu and Rika are awakened by Satoko for breakfast. As Rika is ripping off another sheet of the calender, both chibiko are quite happy. June 1983 has been defeated, and it is now the first july 1983.

• Miyoko is leaving her house to go to play outside. She then bumps on blue long haired lady, and she apologizes. The lady wonders if she will live or die. She then says she should join her friends.
  It appears she said something which was supposed to be a secret between Miyoko and her parents. The child is getting back but wonders about something. The lady says she won’t tell her because she is a bully. Miyoko doesn’t worry, because whatever happen, she will be always with her parents.

• Miyoko is with her parents and they enter in the bus.
  A little while after that, the driver gets a heart failure and it is downright for the accident.

• At night, Miyoko collected the french flag and adds it in her flag collection box. (it looks like it is her twentyth). She then asks a question to god.
  She is then called out by her mother.Outside, the lady observed her and smiles
