In our dimension it’s called the magnetic field
Well as expected it was another nice and healthy revelation episode where you just know that our heros will never get a bit of peace and rest until this entire adventure is over. How long has it been now? Weeks or Months? How can they even stay standing after such a long period of activity is beyond me…
Thoughts: And the pieces continue to fall together though thankfully whilst this episode was mainly talk, Arietta came and spiced things up a bit even though it was a completely random event but it was totally needed to add something interesting other than talk back into the episode.
The main revelation on this episode was again centered around Guy. So it turns out that he has been in cahoots with Van all these years until recently when he feels that what he is doing might be wrong. Better yet it is quite interesting to know that Guy and Van’s relationship completely mirrors how Guy and Luke “connect” (please no sonic thrust jokes ^^’). It was quite weird to having Van “bowing down” to Guy as his master though…but as it is now their connection is severed so the next time they meet will not be pretty.
Not only this the reason behind gynophobia is finally explained with a sad past (as expected) attached. Well it was a shock to see how ruthless the guards were in striking down women (those heretics) without hesitation yet was unable to see a small child hiding in the fireplace. They must be blind or something. Still it was depressing for Guy to explain his past though just a bit too convenient that he revealed everything so easily. Maybe that is to gain trust that he no longer part of Van’s plans and so figures that there is no more need to hide his true self.
Though with that he has begun to let go of that past as for the first time in a while he touched a female (why does it have to be Anise XD). With that he can finally start a relationship with…err…Natalia!
Well that pretty much too care of half of the episode whilst the other half was spent on other small details. But I have to say that this series seems to be lacking in one thing important…coherence. For what I have been noticing for some time now and even more so in this episode is the tendency for the group to teleport from one place to another all to often. Sadly while I do know that they do not have enough time to focus on the “cooldown periods” of the game where you are either beating ligars in the forest or taking out slimes in a cave, the whole feel of just focusing on the important details is making the series feel rushed…well as much as it is needed to do this having revelations upon revelations revealed week after week is rather tiring and hurts the presentation in that it those revelations don’t feel nearly as shocking as they should seem.
And next episode appears to be Tear’s turn if the end of this is any indication (HELL YEA FINALLY!). She seems to be reacting to the passage ring? I wonder what all this is about. I laughed at Luke’s concern for her as explained below…
Speaking of Luke, Asch seems to be in pain after returning from his stalling mission. He doesn’t have much time left? What the heck is that? He better not have some fatal cancerous disease or maybe the chance that something else is affecting his life.
Oh and the reason behind Anise’s money obssession seems to be her mother’s fault who has lost it completely to devote her life to the score…I prefer my free will thankyouverymuch. Thankfully she didn’t die as expected when she was blasted by one of Arietta’s ligar cannons. Phew.
Screen caps and “wise guy” comments:
Oh no, why is Asch in pain?
Poor Natalia being all depressed like that, good thing Guy is such a good friend who cheers her up
Or rather he is just a natural at it
Still can’t fight that phobia of his though, but this scene where natalia was being “weak” really made me want to ship for them…guh Natalia x Asch or Natalia x Guy…
Come again in english?
“Planet storm” as it is called here
And how are you going to do that I wonder
A couple of old bats who are surprisingly smart but also arrogant
Surprisingly her grandfather is their rival
What is this? (SHOCKU)
Guy opposes their plan to revive Hod…
And thus a new enemy has been made
Manservant Van…where have I seen this before XD
At least Anise’s money hungry personality is explained
Look who randomly crashed the party!
“Attack with Ligar cannon!”
“Critical hit on Anise’s mother”
“It was super effective”
DUN DUN DUNNNN!
Shoved into a fireplace when the guards attacked
Nice, haven’t seen glowing red blood in ages
NOOOOO ONEE-SAMAAAA
And so the shock of the ordeal caused Guy to develop his gynophobia
Guy is being so strong
Truth revealed, I can’t help but feel that it is all Luke’s parents fault for all this angst
Like for the 10th time already
So much for the score, Van really did do some lulz this time
Go fall off a cliff!
Oh wait!
My reaction: “Tear!? what’s wrong? we need an ambulance!”
Luke’s reaction: “I am an idiot”
So next up it is Tear’s story, YAYYYYY
(So it seems that you’ve caught wind of the whole “sonic thrust” scene… ^-^””)
Explanations in ToA are barely coherent and take a while to grow on you. At least the anime has diagrams, think of all the tiny brain cells lost when trying to figure it out without them!
There are some hints to Guy x Natalia, but the storyline remains firmly rooted in Asch x Natalia. That reminds me –…The Sheridan scene should be coming up soon.
Anise’s parents are both loose a few screws. They’re basically the epitome of why the God Generals (minus Dist) hate the Score. Anise is the only reason the family eats every day. Also…can anyone really be stupid enough to take a “free vacation” that costs you 10,000 gald? (Yes)
Also, many apologies for not commenting recently. Scanlations, subbing and SATs are a really bad mix. ^-^””
One quick thing about Anise:
If you hate her money obsession, remember that her parents are so devoted to the Score that they would give their money away. Would you like to know the name of the asshole who gets that money?
@miken-chan ~ No worries…I still need some time to get reading the new chapter as well…you guys are going a great job XD
No Guy x Natalia huh
@Setsu ~ Ah yea I understood that much. The way Anise acts is the fault of her zombified parents following a cult like a sheep on slaughter but still her character remains as ever annoyingly cheerful…
But I do find it quite amazing how should could be so cheerful given the amount of weight on her shoulders.
I together with my guys have already been checking the great guidelines found on the blog and so quickly I had a horrible feeling I had not expressed respect to the site owner for them. Those women ended up so passionate to read through them and have in effect clearly been making the most of these things. Appreciation for getting considerably accommodating and also for getting some terrific resources most people are really needing to be informed on. Our own honest regret for not expressing gratitude to you sooner.
of course like your website but you have to check the
spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling
problems and I in finding it very troublesome to inform the
truth then again I will certainly come back again.
